On the way. This custom order was only around $160 to have it made the way I wanted. I opted for no blade etching. The scales are enough bling for me. Anyway, that price is very reasonable. He has options that are cheaper. He also as 0-1 steel on full custom razors, if desired. This blade is 1.2210 high carbon is 1.22% C and 0.8% Chromium. He says he runs them up to 62 HRT. It ought to do really well.

I've got his contact if you want it.
Thats a very good price, it's awful tempting. I'm still undecided if I want to try a new one or stick to vintage.

I like the spanish tip yours has. Seems it might give a little more view in certain areas. Might modify a gd to see if I like it.

He has razors priced around $97 if you like the clear plastic scales. These look better than some higher dollar customs that use those scales. https://www.facebook.com/steveandkelcolling/photos All in AUS $. These are just samplings.

I've posted this before, but here it is, again. This is a fun video. I use only one or two fingers on the tang because my fingers are thick and I do two passes. The information is short, fun, and to the point. Nothing scary or full of malarky.

For that price I would try one.

I got the least expensive he has, 5/8 acrylic handle.

I guess the style of point doesn't factor into the price, as he quoted price first then ask me which point?
I chose a spanish point.
At the present exchange rate, it's $110 USD delivered.

If the quality is there, (geometry, action/fit, shave, maintenance, etc) I'll consider it a bargain and likely order fancier handle versions for myself and others.

You're right, he's very responsive.

The other guys rave about his quality. They said the pictures are not anywhere near as good as the razors really are.

Mine is still making its way to me. I was thinking of a cobalt blue acrylic handle next time, but with a fancy blade. Although, buffalo horn is also tempting me sorely.

Anyway, post some pictures when he sends them to you.

The quality sounds promising, and if it's there I'll order more.
I'm not aware of all the options but will request a full list before I get another.

What did you buy?

I'm saving to get another one, myself.

I hope it passes quick.
Let's see, a Wostenholm IXL, a Wostenholm true pipe, and a Wade & Butcher should be here by end of week.
Been wanting to try a Sheffield razor, maybe this'll satisfy the itch.

Those are three nice razors.

People don't understand the facination with straight razors. I didn't either, until I took the plunge. Now, it is the only thing I'll use and I already have three very good ones (having a good one is important to understanding). All other razors are just cold, souless tools, but a good straight razor has soul.

One of mine in particular, has a truly evil soul. I’ve not yet decided whether to send it straight to ****.

None of the razors on their way are collector quality, but look to be good users. There’s only so much one can determine from pictures. It’s always a gamble, we’ll see when they get here.

Which one is that? Maybe it needs a slight mod? If it has a sharp point, I can well believe it.

It’s the gold dollar with a spiral twisted and bowed blade, and hollow ground deeper on one side than the other. The pivot hole is not drilled square with the tang.
A normal person would have trashed it right off the bat.

That razor needs to be trashed. It is as dangerous as it is deranged. Don't put all of us in danger. Ditch it.
