College Football 2022

Post by Doc Dan »

Well, it is time for the season to start. I see the Alabama Crimson Tide are Number 1, again. No surprise, there. What is interesting is that they are playing both big Texas teams, one newly joined to the SEC.

I'm interested to see if the new coach at Tennessee can continue his remarkable turn around of that team this year.

I've lost a lot of interest in College football over the last few years, Doc.
I dunno, it just doesn't interest me like it used to.
Maybe it's because they all try and play like the Pro's. Plus, Tennessee has fell to absolutely nothing the last decade or more.
Really hoping to see some positive change with the Vols this season. I really believe they finally have a good coach now in Josh I can't spell his last name....
I also wonder how Clemson will do this year without their Defensive Coordinator- can't remember his name for some reason
Also looking forward to see how OU will do with him and even moreso how Southern Cal will do with Lincoln Riley

I hope Notre Dame trounces Ohio State when they meet next week.

The credit card machines went down and they don't take cash, so they just gave everything away.

Well, Penn State won a real nail bitter against Purdue.

Tennessee smeared Ball State. Great to see the Vols win, again.

Samford beat Kennesaw. Go Dawgs!

I like Collage Football better then the NFL. Most of the College Kids IMHO put more effort then the Pro.

Kids are hope to shine, be noticed, and DRAFTED into the Pros.

All football is big business, most of the great College game are pricy to attend.

Today there are so many bowl games. Years ago it was Orange, Cotton, Sugar, and Rose Bowl.

Today there are over 20 College Bowl Games.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but ya got it backwards bro. The Pro's put out far, far, more than the College kids ever even dreamed of putting out.
The N.F.L. - it stands for " Not For Long"
😃
Yeah man, it's incredibly hard to make it on a Pro Team and they will cut you in a heart beat if you slack off. It's dog eat dog out there for big money.
I'm not trying to be a jerk bro. I honestly used to think the same thing many years ago. Until I talked to a few N.F.L. players and Coaches as well as people that are close to them as well.
The difference between the college and Pro level is just staggering.
Heck, in our little town we had a guy that went to Clemson and was an All American- very hard to do.
He didn't even get drafted. He did however, walk on and tried out for the Packers. He said, he was just shocked. Even an All American at Clemson said that. It's just there's a lot of good talent out there but, the N.F.L. is truly the very best of the very best.

Well most of the top College Players are chasing a dream to be drafted to NFL.

Some make it, most don’t. Even many that are drafted find out NFL is different game.

Think if you play on an NFL Team 5 years, you get pension from NFL.

Wow. Go Dawgs. Not sure if UGA is much better than expected, or Oregon was worse, but that was a definite blow out.

Well, we should have a new #1 team in the Country come tomorrow morning, men.
The #2 Ohio State Buckeyes defeated the #5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 21-10.

I don't really think you can de-throne the Tide after they won 55-0. And an argument could be made that the #3 beating #11 by a huge margin (49-3) is more impressive than #2 beating #5 21-10.

Personally, I don't really see any argument for changing any of the top 3 rankings. If anything, what we've seen so far is that the Pac 12 needs to be dropped from the Power 5--and their spot should be given to the SEC East.

Actually, the new ranking should be
#1 The Ohio State University
#2 Georgia
#3 Alabama
That's how it should be. We shall see.
But, no doubt about it, OSU will be the #1 team in the land come tomorrow
A 3 team beating an 11 team better than a 2 beating a 5 is friggin laughable.....no matter how many points the 3 team won by. An 11 team is of course, not even a top 10 team.....
Just my 2 pennies worth.
