YOU NEED A - Belt Knife, Belt Sword!

#1

Post by Naperville »

I purchased an 8 inch RazorDagger Tactical knife for a backup and it's phenomenal for what it is. A REALLY CHEAP knife that hides inconspicuously on your body under your belt. A covert weapons system for your own personal SHTF. I may order multiples of the knives and give one to my brother, a retired cop. They also have short swords that look good, and also HIDE UNDER A BELT!

- 1095 full tang blade
- The knife that I ordered is an 8 inch dagger, RazorDagger Tactical knife
- Total cost was around $130 with an extra sheath

I remember seeing the swords many years ago. Curious how it performs. Keep us posted.

I also saw these years ago and would be curious to read of your real world experiences with it.

The co has a few different knives, and swords. I'll not be buying any more knives from anyone until I see if I can get one of the Spyderco Native Chief knives coming out. Saving my pennies!

When I order the sword, it would be the shortest and "heaviest" one that they make. The blade is comprised of two pieces of metal, which the maker calls laminated, but is really two identical pieces of metal held together by a light film of oil(I believe). I have yet to contact the maker/bladesmith, but I think the blades are chisel ground such that together, the two pieces of metal make one blade. The heavier blades are just a tad thicker and wider.

They are not laminated in the traditional Falkniven, Spyderco, Cold Steel process. It is a bit confusing but once you watch one of the videos on his YouTube channel you get the drift.

These do work. The idea of a belt sword remains a bit of a novelty to me until I try it out on a cantelope or watermelon. If it goes cleanly through, well, OK then!

So far I have just the belt knife and it's fantastic. These will penetrate and cut. To me these are last ditch tools when everything else fails. I am thinking that initially if/when society goes up for grabs and weapons are not yet common place, there will be a time when something more capable than a small folder may be necessary...then the belt knife comes into play.

I'll try to get some photos up by next week.

Thanks for posting about them, Naperville. I hadn't heard of this company before. Very interesting.

Without even contacting my D.A.'s office about whether I can buy one, I already know these would be illegal here in CA, at least the belt sword. So unfortunately, they're beyond my reach. I wouldn't want to ask any lawmakers about these anyway, if they're not aware of them already. Call me paranoid, but I suspect I might end up on a "list."

The belt sword is a lot more solid in striking than I thought it would be:

The legality of carrying any knife, firearm or perceived weapon depends on laws in your area so always check. I've heard about people in the UK being arrested for having tool-belts with hammers and screwdrivers in their backseat!

For me, this a WROL(Without Rule of Law), last ditch type of tool. We were pretty close back a few years ago, and we may enter that time again and again. It may be dangerous to carry a folder or fixed blade, so this is a way around that, a concealed knife.

I'm sure most of us are on some kind of list somewhere. I know I'm on a list, but that's another story.
