Fire and Ice (1983 movie)

(Two videos below):

Obviously not a TV show or ad, but this gem of a movie has been mostly forgotten. I much prefer the rotoscope animation over today's overdone CGI.

Comedy '70s Car Commercials

The "redneck sheriff" (as seen in the second commercial) was a very widely-used archetype seen in many movies and TV series throughout the '70s.

Charles Bronson played freelance photographer Mike Kovacs, in TV Series Man with a Camera.

Let’s say it was part of reason I followed path in life I did.

Thanks for sharing about that. I hadn't heard of that show before now.

Fig Newtons Dance Commercial

The uploader put this commercial at 1975, but I distinctly remember seeing it on TV at least a year before that.

The New Adventures of Gilligan (1974 cartoon series)

I watched this cartoon series more than I ever watched the live-action series. The only thing I'd liked about the original show as a little kid was Mary Ann.

1967 Spider-Man Cartoon "Next Week" Preview

A lot of the '60s-era cartoons had great soundtrack music. In the case of the original Spider-Man cartoon, I am aware that at least some of the music tracks were from the DeWolfe Music library.

Wife and I desperately have been searching for OG Magnum PI episodes. It appears they have been locked away, perhaps to prop up the reboot?

That's probably right. I really don't get all of these reboots in recent years...Hawaii Five-O, MacGyver, Magnum PI, etc., etc. Is Hollywood really that lacking in original concepts? That's a rhetorical question.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Mix - Fantastic Four (1967)

This guy gives a good summary of the Fantastic Four: its creation, the early comic, and its becoming a cartoon.

I was lucky enough to have watched it on TV during its original run in 1967, at age 4. Even then, my favorite episode was "Galactus." IMO, even simplified and condensed for time, that episode remains the best-ever screen adaptation of a Silver Age Marvel comic book story. It did indeed capture the spirit of the Stan Lee/Jack Kirby era of the Fantastic Four comics.

The original 1967 Fantastic Four, along with the original 1964 Jonny Quest, were my favorite Saturday morning cartoons of all time.
