Craft Holsters

#1

Post by MacLaren »

Got this Craft Holster in today. It's supposedly hand carved and made by one man. First impressions, it seems to be a very nice holster. What initially turned me on to Craft Holsters was a video by sootch00.
It wasn't until later that I found out that the actual holsters are Falco's. But, that's fine as Italian Leather is really nice too. It was made in I think, Slovakia.
One things for sure and it's that it's tighter than a banjo string. I sprayed the inside down with the conditioner they sent with it, let it soak in and then grabbed a zip lock freezer bag which I wrapped around my 1911 and put it in the holster. I'll take it out tomorrow afternoon and see how much that helps.

Ha Ha took me a second to see what it was. Cut a couple of slits into the sandal for the belt and it could be a money maker lol

Very nice. I like the double rows of stitching. It adds a little extra flair.

Thank you. & yes it does.
Thus far, I've been able to trust sootch00 & his reviews. I really don't believe he's paid to do the Craft review. Said he bought several of thier holsters.
And, I know for sure his review of the CZ Bren 805 Ps1 was spot on, as I bought one.
I just say all that because I imagine some reviewers are paid to do some reviews or at least get for free what they are reviewing or a heavy discount.
And, with most things imo, it's impossible to see it in person before ya buy. Especially now a days.
But, I think this holster is really pretty dam nice.

Well, I took it out of the holster & it's very nice.
That really loosened it up. It's still tight when you have it on but, not too tight. It'll just need to be worked in.
Gotta say, it's very easy to re-holster. I really like the his holster a lot.

Thanks, Dan!
Ya know, that 1911, is a Bul Armory Government Rail
Made in Tel Aviv, Israel 🇮🇱 & far and away the very finest 1911 I've ever shot. Just everything about it, is outstanding. The machine work is beautiful, the action is like it's on ball bearings - so easy to manipulate, the trigger breaks like a glass rod just shy of 3 pounds.
The grips, which are Bul Armory are nice. The only things that could be improved- imo, are the finish on the gun and the sights. But for $890 it's just staggering for what you have - and, I'm not kiddin one bit.
She's a real witch if there ever was one. Bul, went up on their pricing this year. These now cost $1,350 - and imo, still a helluva bargain. I do think however the finish and sights may be better quality on the 2022 models.
I just cannot recommend Bul Armory enough. I like it better than the Dan Wesson I had. She's just that smooth.....

Holster matches very nicely with the gun/grips.

Well, she's finally broken in and gtg. I love the Mahogany color to this holster and Sheridan 5 Petal Wild Rose 🌹
I can definitely highly recommend Craft to anyone looking for a very nice leather Pancake Holster.
And, again - it's super easy to re-holster.
Here's a few closing pics.
