It's impossible for them to pitch AND hit well in the same game. It's one or the other, and very frustrating!

We feasted yesterday with MM on the mound and playing the Reds last to days . Usually after a monster day of runs the next day the bats go to sleep . Arenado is sitting out All Star game to give back a rest . Our IL is filling up with pitchers and front office sits on their hands like last year . Dan

Oh man, this reminds me of Josh Hamilton in the HR Derby a few years ago. He is from North Carolina, Raleigh to be exact. They had him pegged as the next Mickey Mantle if that's even believable.
At any rate, it was a tragedy what happened to Josh. I'll always wonder what he could've been. But, it wasn't all bad. He did clean himself up and returned for some great years, leading the Texas Rangers to consecutive World Series......one of those were one of the best series ever too...
I don't think anyone will ever beat that 1st round performance Josh Hamilton put on..

Gracious, I'm embarrassed- Pete hit 35 last year in the first round......oh man, I still thought Hamilton had the record at 28......
Good gracious, I keep diggin a deeper hole lol......they don't go by outs anymore? It's timed...

Rookie put a show on last night! Rhythm and quick pitcher is what you need and a few of the guys the pitchers they had took too long to reset.
Paul, I'll never forget that HR derby the J-Ham had! That was insane!

His pitcher was incredibly consistent! Dude was so huge he didn't even need to use his legs, or shoulders really to even get the ball to home plate!

Tidewater? I saw Darryl Strawberry when he was with them as a kid. Toledo mudhens were hosting the Tidewater Mets. You never forget a name like Stawberry! Man he was skinny! Probably had to dance around the shower to get wet :zany

Syracuse Mets. Literally 5 minutes from my work. My boss was cool and let me take a half day since I was unexpectedly invited. I'll gladly take a half day for this opportunity, even if the seats won't be the greatest!

Fingers crossed he goes to LA, but I'm afraid it will be SD or Houston...

Losing Matz hurt for the Cards.

Goody should have called off Matz on that play . Yes we are in a world of hurt . Marmol can only do so much , brutal at times . Bad planning on front office again . Mo needs to go .

Imo, St.Louis should not give up the farm for a wildcard spot. They're pretty good picking up just the right person to get them too the end, at a better cost. Not a whole lot of great starting pitching out there right now...

Totally agree and what is out there may have some arm issues . My thoughts are pitching should have been a priority at beginning of season . There were too many variables at beginning of season to have them sitting back . Oh well I’m just another arm chair analyst ! Ha
