landscape photos!

#1

Post by ladybug93 »

this morning i went out to a local park to see the snow on the trees before the wind blows it all down. i didn't manage to get a shot of my pacific salt, but i figured a lot of us probably take photos of just the landscape when we're out photographing our knives. this thread is for those photos, so post 'em if you've got 'em!

This is Yarra Bay within Botany Bay, a short drive from home. The picture’s taken from where I park my vehicle and looking east.

Image

It’s a beautiful spot and one of my favourite fishing spots. I love walking the beach (just about as far as you can see) flicking soft plastics for Flathead on a falling tide and jumping in for a splash when I get hot.

Image

This shot panning a little further south shows the mouth of Botany Bay with Bare Island to the north and Cape Solander the southern headland in the distance and Kurnell just inside.

Walked up the road to Bondi Junction for a bit of lunch as beloved wife is away and thought I’d snap a shot on the way.

This is the top end of Queens Park, about 200yards from home, looking west at Sydney’s central business district skyline.

It’s where I go for a run when I get on get fit kicks.

Today it’s a little overcast, still, hot and humidity feels like it must be getting up to 80%+, though I haven’t checked. :woozy

Those are awesome, folks! Maybe I can take a few if I ever get outside of city to a place that is worth it.

It’s a great Off Topic Thread our mate ‘93 started, Doc. I’ve always enjoyed the scenic photos posted from all over the world.

I hope more of us jump onboard. :cheap-sunglasses

this is lagoon 4 at ko'olina. with little kids, it was a great place to go and not have to worry about the water being too rough or dangerous wildlife.

Not sure if this actually counts as a landscape shot but I like it. Our friends have a small ranch a couple hours from where we live in Texas. This is the house they just built.

EDIT: I realized after I posted that the pic I was showing wasn't the completed version

I have a lot of landscape photos but I’ll just start out posting a few for now.

This is the possibly the greatest tent site I’ve ever had. Ever.
Image

This is probably the most photogenic mountain scape in all of Colorado. (At least for tourists)
Image

This was just a nice open space area in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Image

My friend and I backpacked out into these dunes for a night. The winds were furious on our ascent, blasting any exposed skin with sand making for the most difficult and wildest conditions I’ve ever hiked through. It was as close to a sandstorm as I’ve ever experienced.
Image

———

Basically, Colorado is absolutely stunning!
