You can imagine an amazing trip through the west with some of the most beautiful landscapes, but you start in Vegas. I wanted out of there so fast.

That was a good plan. Have no desire to go there but that is just me , others may enjoy the atmosphere .

I'll do a double Waterfall Wednesday this week. First is my take on Tropic Ditch Falls in Utah.

Next is RB Ricketts Falls in Pennsylvania.

^Both are amazing shots Mike! I especially like the Tropic Ditch Falls picture. Your pictures are extremely well done. Excuse me if I should have known this already, but are you a professional photographer? Your pics look very professional.

Here's my (amateur) contribution to WW. ;)

Very cool guys! Love it. We have some beautiful landscapes around North Georgia, but I almost did not come back from our out west trip. I loved it out there.

Professional photographer is a tough thing to quantify/qualify for me. Am I good enough for that title? Probably. Do I make any money from it? Very rarely. Do I know how/think it's possible (for me) to make a living from only photography? No. I haven't really sold any prints in years, I usually only shoot 1 wedding per year and then only for friends or family, and only the rarest event.

I am a Merchant Seaman for a living and my typical schedule at work has me on one boat or the other for at least 320 days of the year. If I do happen to get a day off it is usually weather-related and often I get less than 24 hours notice. That makes it impossible for me to book anything so I can't really even use the cameras to supplement income.

I still enjoy it. Still have the skills to fall back on and still get out and shoot what I can/when I can.

^You clearly have the skills Mike. Hopefully you'll be able to use those skills to at least make yourself some additional income when you're ready to retire.

Happy waterfall Wednesday!

Here's my contribution for this week. Just a view from the trail (taken with my phone) while exploring in the Rocky Mountain National Park.

I don't know if it has a name. This was just a pic I took of a cool thing I blew past on my to another cool thing. It was early in my hike up Glacier Gorge in RMNP. The view looked pretty awesome (it's always far better in person) so I stopped just long enough to hold up my phone and take a picture. I wouldn't be surprised if it had a name. It's close enough to the parking area that a lot of tourists could walk to it without too much difficulty. But, my destination was the top of the gorge and this was near the bottom so I was focused on things like my pace, heart rate, and hydration at this point.

Thanks. I'm quite fortunate to live where I do... even if it's just in the countryside of the vast wasteland that is Nebraska.
