In case you missed out, the Elforyn Mnandi is coming back to DLT next week.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

KSF has or had some of their exclusive red linen micarta large Inkosi in stock.

Glad I'm not into the Mnandi, that's pricey!

Been carrying the Magnacut Insingo more often than not and as much as I love tool steels, MC might be the perfect CRK steel. I kept my distance from the hype train, but now I'm a believer and hope we see it replace S30v/S35vn as the new default across the industry.

Hoping Bradford drops a MC kitchen set soon.

Glass blasted is pretty nice, a smoother and a bit more shiny texture. That small insingo is tempting me!!

I just got my first glass blast, and I have to say it is very nice. It does lend to a more modern, updated look for CRK, and I think a non-knife-knut would be drawn to it it's sleekness over the standard. However, seeing the wood inlays without the polished handles/blade is kinda odd for me, and I do like how grippy the sand blast is. I think I still prefer the standard blast if only because it is iconic CRK. Somehow the glass blast just seems more "pedestrian" if that makes any sense. But hey, I still prefer the old inlays and clip position so I might just be a relic :cheap-sunglasses

Probably about the same time, the standard blast became "sand blast", and it is just slightly rougher than the old blast. I noticed the change a while back when comparing two large 31s with the normal blast. Here is a pic I shared with the guy I bought one from... The left (1/17/2021 DOB) is noticeably rougher than the right (8/17/2020 DOB). I can't say for certain if this is universally true, but there is bunch of people that agree on BF.

It's always sad posting photos of knives you don't have anymore :perservering I'll be watching for a Micarta Damascus user on the exchange.

Nice photos as always! You're right, wood inlays without the polished finish does look a little odd. Not bad, just different.

There were a couple exclusives from NWK recently too...

https://northwestknives.com/products/ch ... d-lin-1148

I'm still having a tough time with the BHQ exclusives not being polished anymore. IMO that's what really made them special over the similar Micarta offering.

I am so jealous of that green cerakote. Absolutely killer.

I like the look of the glass blast... Would you say it less prone to snail trails than the sand blast?
