When adventures take us far away, I still remember all that we accomplished together. I take you with me brothers and sisters.

So today I learned that with German lederhosen they wear these traditional leg warmers that will be perfect for holding up our knives.

I explained this in the knitting forum, but unfortunately there are just not a lot of forward looking mentalities over there.

That is best to hide the flamingo so you don’t get randy strangers dropping by your house looking to party.

Just checking in. Sharpened some knives. Thought of the group. Put knives back in sock drawer.

Good to know you are not taking them out for any strenuous activities.

Good to hear from you. Hope you are enjoying yourself out on the water.

I have my knives in ziplock bags to keep them from the salty air and to keep them visible for instant recognition in my sock drawer. I would like to see Spyderco make model specific socks so I know what knife is in what sock with the added benefit of matching my socks to my knife. Sprint runs of a certain color matching my knife is just good fashion

I did a quick search and it turns out there are limited edition (sprint runs) of socks. Looks like Fireman’s dream is possible. 🙃

Sprint run socks! Now we are talking.

At this point, a matching sock should come in each Spyderco box. We are way overdue for this. Time to start a thread "Sal, when will each box ship with a sock,? No I won't shut up!"

Well currently I am using tissues, Kleenax to be specific in wrapping my knives individually within the drawer. I use the 3-Layers strong with Aloe, Vitamin E & Coconut Oil for Seasonal Allergies. I figure what is good for my delicate nose skin is good for my knives.

With the individualized, but potentially customized sock per box idea, one would not have to purchase other materials to insulate and protect their knives in the drawer. Simply wrap the knife, after a quick glance post purchase, with the individualized potentially customized sock that comes with the knife and carefully place it into the drawer. It would elliminate additional time exposed to the elements and quickly into its final resting place.

Sock draw idea:
While keeping your precious unused knives in the sock drawer protects them from the harsh light of day, they are still subjected to the harsh air of day! The horror!

We need to install full HEPA air filtration to our sock draws, post haste! :lightbulb
