NHL Season Openers!

The Chicago Blackhawks had a horrible 1st period, but played well in the 2nd and 3rd.

Colorado Avalanche over the Chicago Blackhawks 4 to 2.

At the end of the first period the shots on goal was like 17-3 in Colorado's favor. We're not going to win many games with no defense. It's early on a long season. Hopefully they'll get it figured out

Colorado scored 3 goals in 5 minutes of the 1st period. The Blackhawks held them to 1 goal over 2 periods, and managed to score 2. That first period was a blowout.

Off to a dismal start for the the Blackhawks. All this off-ice sexual harassment stuff is horrible too!

At least the Chicago Bulls are lookin' good so far!

Doh! It's not the Bulls without Jordan....now we call them the Steers, young neutered male cattle primarily raised for beef.

:squinting-tongue

The Blackhawks lost this evening, but they played a much better game. The kids on the team were thinking and skating hard. They must have been afraid they would bring back the predator.

The Jordan era is long gone. Nobody I know calls them the Steers. They should a bunch more games this year but might still have trouble with big teams

I watched the Hawks game. They looked a little better at times but they gave up a two goal lead. It's still early and they have a lot new players. Hopefully they'll turn things around. I'm not sure Collition's a long term solution for the head coach position. Maybe I'm wrong but they never seem like they're ready to play
