Re: Carothers
Where?
If Blade Forums, then no.
I'm not able to post because of yahoo.com not working with their system.

Re: Carothers
That’s weird man, I’ve had no issues and I only have a yahoo email too. Wonder if it’s a weird isolated issue? Anyways, one of the guys sold off his collection, a LC, HDFK, FK2, K18, DEF, Bootdagger, it was epic.

Josh, when they revamped the forum, it kicked me off. I had been logged on for a very long time.
And, I evidently forgot my password.
So, thier system now will not email me a password reset to yahoo.com
So, whatever ya do, donr loose your password.
Re: Carothers

Re: Carothers
I guess I’m in it now. Just purchased my second one before even receiving my first one. Kephart in 3v on the way. Sliding down the slippery slope, I am.

Nice to see you guys picking up some
CPKs! Looking forward to hearing from Spyderville on D3V impressions. I love the stuff.

Re: Carothers
I've had my Field Knife for about a year and a half now, and I'm very fond of it, but it's too much knife for my EDC uses, so it only gets used when I make a point of carrying it, or for camping. I'm hoping the Dek1 fits into my EDC rotation better.
I'd been looking at Kepharts for a while now, and that one just lined up.
So now I'm at three...I'm trying to avoid sliding all the way down the slippery slope and ordering a Behemother.

Re: Carothers
I may have gotten the last Kephart from their site as I no longer see them listed. No site updates this time either.
It took me awhile to get over the looks of the Kephart and almost missed out on them. I had to apply the Spyderco thought process on them, "judge them not by their looks, but by their performance".

It is indeed slippery! I’ve tried to limit myself to no more than 1 of the models I like, but failed on a couple, sort of. Besides the DEK1, I’d recommend the EDC/EDC2 if you run across one for sale. The Keppie is a classic pattern. I’d meant to pick one up from other makers for years, but just got my first from CPK this year. It’s one I found I liked better than I thought I would.
Here’s an EDC2…~3 1/4” blade:

The Utility Field Knife (FK2) is up on their site now. This is the thin stock, high hardness version. I wish I had the $$, but after the last two I'm out.

Re: Carothers
Beautiful LC @murphjd25!
Just a heads up because I thought the same thing when these were first offered…the hard thin FK2 is actually the same stock thickness. It’s just thinner behind the edge. It’s 1 point harder than the standard. They’re both good cutters!
You can see it in the narrower edge bevel.
Hard Thin on the left, Standard (but swedged) on the right:
