From my understanding the FK will not be available or made with AEBL. They were only doing both steels on the DEK1 and Kephart as an experiment.

Re: Carothers
They never did say how much the Basic Field Knife is going to be did they?
I'm farked anyways. I can't access BF.
But, they will have the Basic Field Knife on their website in a couple weeks.

The 5 inch be "$245. It's the most affordable knife that we offer." says Nathan.
Edited to add: This looks positive, "DEK1, Kepharts, 5" Basic, Friday August 27th"

I really do not know what just happened over there. Maybe I'm in, maybe I'm not. Who knows?
Nathan, please just put them on your site.

Re: Carothers
Lollyscramble, I don’t do that **** no more. Got a couple fixed blades in magnacut being made hehe. I’m going to be in for a Super Duty Field Knife 100% for sure but I think I’ll be done with Carothers after that, I don’t need a million of them. I hope you guys can snag one and it gets easier once they post on their website.

You really don't need anymore than that.
I'm excited to hear what ya gotta say about those Magnacut blades
Re: Carothers
If anyone wants a DEK1 in AEBL, they are still available, but these are the last of them. No more DEK1’s will be made from my understanding. The DEK2 will be released sometime next year.

Hehehe......your very nice Josh. She's prolly the fugliest blade I've had but, I do love the black scales and she flat out performs.
Re: Carothers
I bet it’ll make some awesome feather sticks and marshmallow sticks!

Re: Carothers
I scored a DEK-1 in AEB-L! Thanks to murphjd25 & MacLaren for pointing the way.
Now hopefully I can get one more Carothers in D3v to see what all the praise is about.

Re: Carothers
That's great!
I was so tempted but, I'm saving my sheckles for a Basic Field Knife or an HD Field Knife.
I'll prolly get the Basic.
Btw, did you see the video I posted on that Delta 3v?
If ya haven't, check it out
Re: Carothers
I wasn’t supposed to buy anything else for a while, but I got a LC(light chopper) inbound.

Re: Carothers
Did you see that sale today? Feel bad for the guy that had to get rid of all those grails!
