Ghost Stories From the Border

Interview with a retired border patrol agent. What he talks about is very interesting, even before he gets to the subject of the paranormal.

At about 32:07, he is asked about, and starts discussing, some paranormal occurrences on Otay Mountain, in San Diego County in CA, written about by Rocky Elmore, another retired border patrol agent, in Elmore's book, 'Out on Foot.' Otay Mountain is only a little over 30 miles from where I live.

If you're reading this article on a smart phone, you'll probably have to scroll through various ads and such, like all the articles on this site. But it's worth it (IMO).

Phantoms & Monsters Radio: Longtime Cryptid & Paranormal Researcher Lon Strickler interviews Lee Hampel - 'Beast of Bray Road Experiencer & Researcher - Photos, Video, & Images

This video is 95 minutes long, but it's worth it, if you are really interested in the subject of cryptids and the paranormal. The 'Beast of Bray Road' is a localized name in that area of Wisconsin for 'Dogman' creatures. Sightings/encounters with Dogman-type creatures are not limited to that locale. Other types of paranormal phenomena also tend to accompany Dogman creatures, such as glowing orbs, strange mists, electronic glitches, etc.

Note: The actual interview begins at approximately 1:40:

Muramasa Demon Swords - Most Evil Swords in Japanese History!

Even though some of the stories might be myths, such as the 'two swords in the river competition', I do believe that objects can carry the energy of their owners (or, in this case, their makers). Or such objects can carry the energies of what they were used for, if the energy/emotion/intent of the action(s) was strong enough.

I knew a Vietnam veteran who owned a Randall knife that he had been given by a fellow US soldier, who had used the knife to take out some Vietcong soldiers. He showed me the knife. It didn't look like anything special to me, but he said that the knife had a weird energy about it.

Back in the early '80s or so, I read an account by a famous American practitioner of Iaido (the Japanese art of drawing the sword) named Dale Kirby, where he said he was practicing alone in his dojo, and another antique katana sword he had on display on a wall (and that he also sometimes practiced with), suddenly flew across the dojo and stuck into an opposite wall. After that, he took it off the display rack and also stopped practicing with it.

This is one of the reasons why I would never consider buying an antique anything, and why I never buy anything at garage sales. Call me superstitious, but why take the chance of inviting anything into my home or life that I don't want?

Here are several supposedly true accounts of the paranormal, cryptids, UFOs, etc. I like listening to these types of stories while cooking, or doing other chores.

I did it once and never again. I didn't see any paranormal stuff, but I've heard voices for sure and the friends I was with heard them too. Could have been some strange wind, but I won't push my thin luck.
