Well the Frontier First definitely throws some mean sparks.

I'm liking it a lot better with a CRK-style leather lanyard. I still like the Frontier Valley better, but it's a very capable little knife.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

I did this to my Kansbol. After snapping nearly half the blade off. I find a chisel grind preferable to scandi for feather sticking though, so it wasn't a major loss.

Man, that’s a great little knife.

My Frontier Valley is still my favorite little edc fixed blade. I’d love to try a pronghorn sometime - looks like a very similarly-sized knife.
