¿Traducir al Español? Knife Rights Needs English to Spanish Translator

Knife Rights is looking for a volunteer to translate our News Slice™ email newsletter articles/press releases from English into Spanish. Some Spanish language newsletters are interested in publishing our articles. This is NOT a paid position.

Because much of what we publish is time sensitive, the volunteer would be expected to turn around most articles within 24 hours. Familiarity with MS Word would be helpful.

While Google Translate and others do an adequate job in many cases, at least to get the general message across (see headline above), the more esoteric and technical the words and concepts, the less likely the translation will be accurate. Our area of advocacy, the legislative and legal system, has plenty of those. If we are going to do this, we need to get it right.

Potential volunteers will be asked to translate two already published articles to check for accuracy. If you are interested in helping Knife Rights reach out to Spanish-speaking knife owners and activists, please email: "dritter AT KnifeRights DOT org"

Knife Rights is America’s grassroots knife owners’ organization; leading the fight to Rewrite Knife Law in America™ and forging a Sharper Future for all Americans™. Knife Rights efforts have resulted in 34 bills enacted repealing knife bans in 23 states and over 150 cities and towns since 2010.
