So, what do yall think about the Chiefs?
Honestly, I think since Tom Brady destroyed them in the Super Bowl, they may never be the same.
Yep, I agree! They'll never be the same again. Same thing that happened to the Seahawks is going to happen to them.

I was a little over the top after Brady beat them in the Superbowl and I predicted that the Chiefs weren't even going to make the playoffs this year. I realize that was mostly "in the moment" emotion speaking but I still wouldn't be surprised if that's how things actually play out.

Still kind of early in the season though. They do have time to try and turn things around. From the Superbowl to last place in their division after week 5 the next season. :cheap-sunglasses
Gosh, I remember that now. I think you nailed it 😎

That's a good point you made Rick.
When you have a generational talent like Beckham, it's best to use them! What you said made me think of Keyshawn Johnson "just give me the dam ball!"

Absolutely!! I was watching that game against the Chargers and Beckham still has the juice and those quick moves, even after that torn acl. Mayfield just kept missing him, very inaccurate.

Leaves changing is always stunning in our area. This is from last Saturday when we took a hike near Salmon River Falls. I bet they look even better this coming weekend!

Bro, I don't even wanna say it, because it won't ever happen but, can you even start imagine what it would be like if he were with Rodgers or Brady?
I would LOVE to see that though.....

Gosh Rick, that looks so much like around here. I've always heard how beautiful upstate New York is.
Great pic man! I love this time of year.
Btw, Rick, what's your elevation?

That's what we would call unfair Paul haha! Like Randy Moss that one season with Brady, I think he had something ridiculous like 23 tds!

I dont know Mac, I'm seeing reports about it being less serious than that. Hopefully it's not a season ending injury. Definitely a scary injury though. That swelling looked serious!

I haven't heard any updates about Juju's shoulder injury. He looked like he was in a lot of pain after that one.
I feel that Juju will be ok bro....hehehe...

That's one thing I really miss about where I'm from. The leaves don't turn in Dallas quite like they do up north. I accept that though because I won't have to be raking them until sometime around Christmas and I'm often in a t-shirt and blue jeans when I do. Other than the weather fluke we had last February I haven't worn an actual winter coat for 6 years

We had a pretty odd winter last year. Wasn't bitter cold in the single digits as often as usual, and we also didn't get a lot of snow overall...but did have 3 pretty heavy storms come through. Only time I used my snowblower. Typical winter, I use it twice a week. Not sure what to expect this year!

Gotta say gang, it just does not snow here like it used to. Our winters have been milder for a while now, no doubt about it. It can and does get cold but, it does stay cold as long as it used to.

I think it's funny how the native Texans complain about the heat. It's not that bad. I always tell my girl I can take the heat a lot better than I can take frigid cold. I do sometimes miss winter but I don't miss freezing my butt off. One thing I especially don't miss is getting in my car after work and trying to drive down the road while your body is shivering so hard your vision is blurry and praying for your car to warm up enough so heat starts coming out the vents. It gets worse as you get older. One thing I do miss though is ice fishing haha

Those single digits, or even negative temperatures...without a wind chill...absolutely brutal. So cold out that your tires lose pressure and all your sensors are going off. Hurts your lungs to breathe. Ahhhhh, just a couple months away!! Then people wonder why us people up north are a bit more abrasive than others :grimace

It hasn't been as hot here the last few years as it used to be. I think anything above 80 degrees is too hot personally. I love cold weather, it makes me feel alive. Shivering just means you're buzzing with excitement lol
