It really is a shame that these uber talented kids get drafted to a crappy team, and normally a team with a horrendous offensive line (Joe Burrow) Though pulling an Elway or Eli seems to be generally frowned on...you have to do what's best for YOU and your family!

All good! And i definitely agree.

The Jags are putting way too much pressure on him this early in his career. He has generational talent but the organization around him is essentially wasting it! They just took him out of college and threw him straight to the wolves in the NFL. It's still early in the season but they clearly need to change their approach. They're rushing him way too fast, in my opinion.

I personally like that he didn't pull an Elway or a Manning though. There is a level of integrity that I really respect about that. Still, I don't think he should waste his career in a place that is not beneficial to his future. If the Jags can't turn things around with him, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him demand a trade.

I think all QBs on their 1st contract should go to the highest bidder when those 4 years are up... They are too loyal to their team and sometimes their team is trash. Yes i know this makes me a hypocrite bc of Dak but yeah lol

Jacksonville is the worst run team in the NFL. They're rushing him because "their" jobs depend on him being an instant solution to 20+ years of organizational mismanagement. I wish him all the successes.

SG: Dak went to the highest bidder...no one was going to give him $35m unproven after that injury.
So it goes.

Yeah! It's a very different offense without him. I guess maybe they are relying on him too much? It has got to be tough to have him available and not in 100% of the plays even if only as a decoy because he is so dynamic but he seems to have reached a ceiling on his health. He isn't that old yet but he is getting worn down health wise. They need to figure out a play count that keeps him alive for a whole season if that is even possible. I'd rather see him play 25 to 30 plays per game and go a whole season rather than 45-50 plays and out half the game. It's what they have to do with a lot of 32 + year old players. Especially defensive linemen and RB's. The Derrick Henrys are an anomaly even in the NFL with the best of the best.

I agree, he isn't a huge bruiser kind of back. The fact that they give him 17-23 rushing attempts per game and around 8-12 targets in the passing game, that's pretty much ensuring you only get a couple years of greatness out of him. Reminds me of Chris Johnson with the Titans in the mid 2000's. CJ2K one year, then his career fell off after that. If I'm not mistaken, he had close to 400 touches that season. They say anything over 330 touches or so is risky if done for 3 consecutive seasons. I remember seeing some kind of chart about it a few years ago and the numbers were shocking showing the decline in players, even the younger guys.

I agree fellas. RB is one of the toughest positions to play. And, it doesn't take long to wear out one.

Chris Johnson, Arian Foster, David Johnson, Demarco Murray, Maurice Jones Drew, Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander...

It's not surprising, but hopefully McCaffery doesn't end up on that list.
So it goes.

I'm usually pretty indifferent about the Rams but I'm rooting tor Matt Stafford. He was a class act in Detroit and was one of the few things I liked about that miserable franchise. I'd like to see him get a Superbowl before he retires. I also like good defenses with scary pass rushes. They were #1 defense last year, or pretty close. For sure he has a better team all around and it's more realistic to think about his chances there.

I feel the same way bro.
I think the Brady Bunch will prolly win but, like last year with Brady, even he needed about half the season to work out all the kinks with his new team, coach, system etc.. it'll still be a good game though I think.

I've always liked and respected Stafford. Give him a lot of credit for all the hits he's taken and throwing for 400 yard games with 4 tds and still losing because they never built a team around him and the all time great Calvin Johnson. Stinks that duos career was wasted with a bad organization. I'm hopeful Stafford will do well in LA!
