Let's try this again. My first custom made blacksmith knife
Let's try this again. My first custom made blacksmith knife
Sorry about my prior post. Somehow my pictures disappeared due to a computer glitch.
So I have created another post. My apologies for any confusion.
My first custom ordered knife from Czechoslovakia. Maker David Mokry. Owner of Pagafanshop.
10 inch blade 5 inch handle. Pure beast. Replica of the 3rd to 4th BC druid knives found in archaeological digs.
I also had him put his maker initials in the blade.

Thank you JR. I love coillecting tribal, ancient, and culture influenced knives The shipping was a bit long due to being overseas and Covid. But it was well worth it.
This is my single favorite piece in my collection.

I’m partial to the Seax due to some ancestry with the Anglo Saxons.

Thank you Meat.
I got this for $103 made in Czech. My own sheath from India I had laying around. With the makers sheath $143. And his sheath is way nicer than mine. I dyed my sheath black to match the handles.
European Spring steel. Normally Rockwell is 52 -54 in this type of knife for springiness and toughness. I had him run this one to a 57 -58 for increased edge retention and made at 5.2 mm thick to compensate for reduced springiness due to higher edge retention.
The tip is solid, extremely sharp, and grind lines on this are 99.7% perfect. Had I purchased this in the USA. I would be looking at $300 to $500.
Shipping is a bit longer but so worth it. Especially saving a few hundred.
Free shipping also. Or you can contact the maker and request to pay for faster shipping and different steel.
You can check him out on Facebook or Etsy. Under Pagafanshop.
He also makes many different things besides knives.
Very affordable, fair, and will make use whatever steel that is forgeable you request.
David Mokry is his name and he is the only blacksmith I will use.

This man's work is amazing. And he makes many different things. Shipping is a bit slow but not too bad.
You can look him up on Facebook or Etsy under Pagafanshop. And he will do custom orders. $103 for this is an absolute bargain. His skill with edges and profiling is amazing
