I don't sell my Spydies but I think it would be worth joining as a buyer! I imagine there won't be any flippers, so there's a chance this could be the absolute best place on the internet to get reasonable deals. I'll have to sign up on reddit and I'll message soon.

I don't know much about Reddit, so please help me understand. In your math scenario, your knife is worth 250, so you have to sell it for 260. Where does the other ten bucks go?

Presumably, that's to account for the cost of actually shipping the knife to the recipient, no?

One point / question to consider: What about NON Spyderco knives ?

1.) My strong opinion is: Offering NON Spydies for sale should be 100% forbidden (and it´s pretty clear that this is the case anyway) even for long term members
+ in the long run this certainly would attract people (to the Spyderco swap and consequently to the forum) who are not really interested in Spyderco
+ it would become much more work to maintain the site

2.) But what about trading a NON Spyderco for a SPYDERCO someone offers? So for example I want that Sage 5 LW member X puts up for sale and offer to trade my BM Minigrip for it?! An option or not? (Here the BM Minigrip gets not actively offered or advertized, but just offered as a trade item in consequence of a Spydie being offered)

Not gonna lie, I hope we are able to sell/buy non Spyderco products as well. Especially if it's only for us forum members, it really shouldn't make much of a difference should it? Most of us have other knives besides Spyderco that we would like to buy/sell and not deal with all the BS of the other formats.
