My 1st CRK

And, she is a beauty!
Extremely impressed with the packaging too. I knew she was a grandslam when I saw the CRK packaging.
That may sound silly but, it is what it is.
The action is absolutely wonderful! Can't wait to see it get broken in a bit more.
The Umnumzaan was born February 24,2021
I'll get some more pics up later

Julia, no worries :D
And, please consider this thread your thread too, if ya want. Post up as many pics as you like :)
I think we could both have a great thread here.
But, yeah, my thumb is already a little sore lol
But, as you say, that should get better over time
Also, really impressed with how smooth she already is. Very excited to see how smooth she does get.
A keeper for sure! :D

Thanks! Yeah, my thumb was really sore by Saturday night as I was trying to speed up that break in process all day. But it was worth it - the action is really smooth now, and it's much easier to disengage. I also put an RGT clip on it, which I think makes it even more comfortable in hand. I'll post pics, too.

Wow! :D :D
That is an incredibly nice collection Julia!
I especially love that RGT clip you put on the Zaan.
I'm gonna do the same thing if I can. I really like that.
Lol, I was so hoping mine would arrived on Saturday like yours, but I just literally got mine from the post office a few minutes ago.
Also, glad to hear that yours is already loosening up a bit! I need to make time to work mine in tonight.
Btw, was your Zaan born on February 24 as well?

I was kinda hoping it might have had S45VN, but I'm perfectly fine with their S35VN.
Also, love the swedge, kinda sharp. Great penetrator tip imo.

That is an awesome blade profile, that's for sure! More so for Julia...since she already has a couple, how do you find deploying the blade compared to the Sebenza and Inkosi? I've always thought the placement of the thumb studs on the 'Zaan to be in kind of a strange spot, and so close to the scale.

It was killing you wasn’t it Mac? I think I’m off of the Medford kick now, thinking a Inkosi will be next for me?

Dude, if it wasn't for the lockstick in Medfords, I'd still be there. That's just my personal experience.
But, I gotta say, I get the CRK love now.....just a very, very, fine pocket knife imo.
A large Inkosi would be my next pick.

Inkosi is a great choice! I was hesitant until a deal I couldn't pass up came along on Ebay. Granted, I think my Small 31 LOOKS nicer, but if I were put in a situation to really use the knife, the Inkosi is a no brainer! I like that knife a lot, very happy I took the chance on it!

Ut oh Paul, I sense some rapid fire purchases coming your way ;) I've noticed that about you, once you find something new that you like...you go wild! :D (Hinderer, Busse, Medford) all come to mind...now it sounds like CRK! At least you must clearly have the funds to do it, so go get em brother haha!!

Looking good! The "Boss" was my first CRK aha moment, which lead me to revisit the Sebenza, and revisit it again and again :) I initially thought the ceramic interface, sharp swedge, glass breaker, orings, etc were a little gimmicky, but it all makes sense after carrying and using one.

Not a huge fan of the Inkosi, but I can't bring myself to sell it. For me, the Large Sebbie is the one CRK to rule them all.

I own 5 CRKs, all with plain-jane titanium scales:

Large regular Sebenza (2002)
Umnumzaan (2011)
Small Insingo 21 (2015)
Large Insingo 21 (2015)
Small Inkosi (2016)

I love my CRKs. But that is probably all I’m going to buy. My favorite has been the large Insingo. Second-favorite is probably my small Inkosi.

I just checked my paperwork and sure enough, Feb 24! That must have been Zaan Day at CRK. :p

DLT has the beadblasted RGT clips in stock. That's supposed to match the CRK finish. The ones I got were direct from RGT and have a more polished finish.

Nice!

As smooth as they are from the factory, I found mine to improve exponentially the first time I took it apart and lubed it. (Also to remove the lanyard & tube.) It is so smooth I can't feel the friction when closing or opening it.
