What watch you're wearing?

Are there any watch lovers like me?

Seiko, omega, orient, and hamilton are some of my favorite watch brands.

Not a watch enthusiast, but I do appreciate a well built time piece. I'm wearing my Casio GShock Rangeman GW9400 in OD Green. It's been my daily driver for almost 4 years and I havent felt the need to wear anything else since getting it.

Apple Watch. Two generations old. I've gone through a ton of fitness trackers, until eventually the Apple Watch was able to replace them. I'll probably get a new Apple Watch when this one dies.

Samsung S3. It's been bulletproof for over a year and I got it used in a trade for a user Spyderco and sharpening lesson. Very happy.

I've got two - a Timex Ironman for running, and a Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster dive watch for scuba diving.

I wear the dive watch more often than the Timex, but neither on a regular basis.

Normally don't wear one, every now and then I do.

Everything seems to have a clock on anymore so I don't normally bother.

I’m not a watch enthusiast, but I always wear one. Mine is nothing special brand-wise; it’s a Timex ‘Indiglo’. I buy Timex watches because they’re inexpensive, and in my experience they work very well for a long time. I’ve had the current one for several years now.

If I ever do break down and get a high quality watch it will probably be a Swiss made watch like a ROLEX, Patek Phillipe or some other high end Swiss made watch. One reason I would go that route is because I've seen those Swiss made watches have great re-sale value down the road. Very few items have good re-sale value anymore but those Swiss made watches do have good re-sale value if you buy high quality in the first place.

I know there are still some good American made watches on the market but nobody beats a Swiss made watch IMO.

Hey Jim I've got one of those TIMEX "indiglo" watches myself. I just put in a $5 new battery every year and I've been good to go for the past 5 years or so. You can't beat that when I only paid about $40 for it to begin with. Way back when I was in high school I would always buy those TIMEX windup type watches and they would last at least 2 to 3 years or so. And I doubt I ever paid more than $20 for any of them.

They don't have the quality of most of the watches out there. But for as long as they do last they aren't bad for a "throw-away" watch.

I like watches, but refuse to go down that rabbit hole fully. I dipped my toes with a few Orients until my wife bought me an Apple Watch. Now it’s all I wear on my wrist. The fall detection should come in handy when I eventually fall off the roof cleaning the gutters. Joke? Maybe not, as I’ve already knocked the ladder over once and had to have my neighbor help me.

I have an Omega Seamaster that I have had for 27 years or more. I love that watch. I also have a cheap S&W watch with tritium gas tubes that works wonderfully. I have been looking at the new Tag Heuer Autavia, but then, there is a Ball Watch dealer, here, too. Hmmmm.

Sadly, my favorite watch (DateJust ref. 1600) is in for service. Sigh...

EDIT - It's on it's way back to me. Can't wait, though there is nothing wrong with the Tissot I am wearing now.
