Another great coffee brewer...

Not USA made like the Aeropress, but probably better suited to those who prefer filter coffee to espresso.

The brilliantly simple CleverDripper is a size 4 filter holder with a valve, that allows the coffee to steep for as long as you prefer, before release.

It’s quickly become a favourite of ours.

A couple of minutes steep is instructed, but I’ve read of rocket fuel fans brewing it under an insulating woolly hat for 10, 20 minutes or more!

(Apologies if you don’t like James Hoffman - he’s not everybody’s cup of tea, so to speak).

I've found that I enjoy an immersion brew. French press isn't clean enough. I went with the Aeropress because they dominate the non-French press immersion devices. In some ways, this seems a bit easier than the Aeropress.

I think I'm stuck on my old fashioned Moka Pot. It must be my ethnic heritage, sticking to the old ways. :)

I might give this one a try though. Looks interesting.

Trying to find your ideal coffee maker is a little like trying to find your ideal pocket knife. :)

The great thing about the coffee community is that they will nerd out and try just about anything to improve their coffee. So if you like the Moka Pot, maybe the answer isn't buying something new, but tweaking how you use what you already have.

I use either a french press, very old percolator or my 30 cup Bunn when I'm expecting a crowd. I prefer the press then the old percolator for my personal needs.

Got it, tried it for a few days, found it more complicated and time consuming than my usual jury-rigged system. In addition, not sure if the one I got was defective, but it leaked enough that I had to keep a dish under it when I put the water in. So it's now tucked away in the back of the closet with a few other brewers. :o

That’s really poor luck! Mine doesn’t drip at all, and that was off eBay. I think the moral here is to take no notice of my recommendations!
