We are on the 48th parallel here.
Chicago is approximately on the 42nd.

We are not in a mountainous terrain, and our weather is heavily influenced by the weather out of the Gulf of Mexico, Canada and the lake Michigan.

I wish everyone a peaceful first Advent!
And also it's "Bratwürstelsonntag" again!

A year has gone and we have still COVID and in Austria we have currently a lockdown again.
But everyone in the family is healthy and we never give up.

Happy Advent as we await the arrival of our Savior.
I Pray Heaven to Bestow The Best of Blessing on THIS HOUSE, and on ALL that shall hereafter Inhabit it. May none but Honest and Wise Men ever rule under This Roof! (John Adams regarding the White House)

Follow the Christ, the King,
Live pure, speak true, right wrong, follow the King--
Else, wherefore born?" (Tennyson)

Hi Austrian_spyder_fan...
My soon to be wife is a Münchner Madl . She lit our first advents candle as well today. And filled the calender with sweets. And decorated the christmas tree. But due to the new African Corona strain it will probably will not be a familie christmas for her. Again.... So we will stay in Belgium instead of Dahoam. Schade.
