Lol, we're in the same boat! I yearn for a muscle car a lot! Just wish I had shekels to make it happen Rick.
****, I just wish they would've had this kinda power when I was younger. I had a 2002 Mustang GT 5.0 and, it had like 265 hp lol.....
It's just amazing what they are doing with motors now.
You're not kidding! Before I got my last truck back in 2016, I had a 2009 Mitsubishi Evo X...2.0 liter 4 cylinder turbo, all wheel drive car. Came stock with 291HP! I was in my Fast and the Furious stage of life when I bought it and ended up putting a bigger turbo in it, turbo back exhaust, intake and a larger intercooler. Took it out to a shop in nearby Rochester and had it tuned on a dyno. I had various maps programmed into the car that I could use for different kinds of driving or driving conditions. When I wanted to go balls to the wall, that thing made 383hp TO THE WHEELS at 24psi. That thing was incredible

But, we bought our house and wanted to redo the kitchen and there went my car :( Perks of growing up I guess!

I used to have a 1967 Chevy Camaro that my father and I built...and I mean built! It would pull your face back and tie it in a bun behind your head! Hahaha!

Beautiful! Love the classic Camaro's. Always find myself lingering around those longer at car shows, than a lot of other models.

I've always wanted a '67 Chevelle 396 SS in Malibu Blue.........oh man.....
Actually, my football buddy in high school had one. A red 396 Super Sport. I loved it. It would pin your head back in the seat! I had a '75 Stingray with T-Tops.
Wasn't nearly as strong as that 396 SS, but it looked good! Those were some fun days.
Then, like a total freakin moron, I sold my Vette in 1996. I still kick myself....

V6 with twin turbos. 400 hp.
Dude!!!
That twin turbo Explorer is awesome!
I would love to drive one someday. To heck with towing, I would be hot roddin that baby around!
0-60 in 5.5 seconds, I think? That's INSANE!
Plus, they are just so nice inside. I think the actually put an IPad in there, lol.
Ford did a phenomenal job with the new Explorer. Going back to rear wheel drive, ditching the CVT tranny in favor or 10 speed tranny, which is the schiznit btw...
I hear the leather, the stitching and wood accents are better than ever before. If I could, I would have that new Explorer Twin Turbo. No doubt.
It’s actually really incredible. It’s like a rocket ship! The interior is beautiful as well. The radio does look just like an iPad.
Imo, that new Explorer you have is the way to go.
It's affordable and I just absolutely love the rear wheel drive and 10 speed tranny.
That 10 Speed is a huge reason why it's so nice imo
I believe that 10 Speed Tranny was developed by both Ford and Chevrolet. The Silverado guys rave about it
And, I can see why, as my 2019 1500 had an 8 Speed tranny and man, she was a lot quicker, faster and better gas mileage than any 6 Speed Silverado I've ever had. The 8 and 10 Speed trannys change gears so well and seamless, that I wasn't using the brakes on my truck nearly as much as before.
You have a super nice solid as can be ride T.J.
Thank you sir! I really do like it. I’ve got a functional car for driving my little guys around, and a sports car when Daddy is driving alone. The gas mileage is pretty decent too. I get about 19 combined. Not terrible. It also handles like a champ, especially when I put it in Sport Mode.

Thank you. I was going to get a silver one, until I saw that blue.

They call it “Atlas Blue.” In 2020, when I bought the car, the ST was the only model offered in that color. Now I’m seeing other trim levels in it. I lost my exclusivity rights....lol.

As I'm sure you noticed, the options are endless!! Unlike a car dealership, it's actually nice to seek out help if you're not dead set on knowing what you want in a camper. When we were looking into ours, we had a very helpful salesman. He asked us about features we wanted, size, price. Then showed us what seemed like 10 different campers that were all sorts of different styles and then that really helped us narrow down what we were looking for.

How much do you guys pay for fuel? I almost fell off my chair when I saw 19mpg.

I paid £1.24/litre yesterday, which I reckon is $7.82/gal.

Fuel prices in the USA can vary a lot, due to state taxes. Here's a good resource:

https://gasprices.aaa.com/state-gas-price-averages/

Another oddity is that depending on the state, diesel may be more or less than gasoline (petrol).

I had an uncle that was quite well to do and he owned 22 rental houses paid for free & clear along with a very profitable business. Him and my aunt bought a Winnebago which was a popular unit at the time and I could never quite figure it out. Because of all the loot they spent on that monstrosity I could have stayed in a Hampton Inn or someplace better for almost 40 years for what they paid for it.

We have so many really nice campgrounds here in Missouri at many of the State parks with the electricity hookups for as cheap as $14 to $17 a day>> and heck I can sleep in a car or pickup truck a lot cheaper with all that available. But I guess if a person has the resources and the money and they have a real love for that type of thing then more power to them. I guess I'm to the point in life that I'm getting really picky about what I invest money in anymore. With our system on the verge of falling apart I'm not so sure it would be safe to be in these secluded campgrounds anymore. But maybe I'm just looking at it too negatively.

The lousy gas mileage in these campers can't be good. Not to mention insurance and taxes. And my uncle always had problems finding a place to store his Winnebago during the winter as well.

These are tow behind campers JD. Mine only cost me $180 a year to insure when we had ours. Gas mileage on my truck dropped from around 16mpg to 12-13mpg when hauling, so not that drastic of a change.
