Happy birthday, Gernot. May the hair on your head always be more numerous than your years.
Thanks, Doc! So far I still have more hair than years or knives..
... And though I turned 51, not a single gray one on the head, just a few white ones in the beard :)

Clip all of your Stretchs to your pockets and have a great one Gernot, because:

Thanks! :)
Had a nice birthday, but I have to disappoint you... the REX 45 Manix was in my pocket all day (or in my pack at times, for I did a little nice climb)!

A belated Happy Birthday, Gernot! I hope it was wonderful.
Thanks, my friend! Had a nice birthday indeed, of course up in the mountains (something you do understand as you know) and have a good meal and some drinks with friends in a hut up there! :)

Well, that looks nice too! :)
And to be honest: I do less and less harder climbing too (except one or two times a week in the boulder gym, but that serves also as a general training for the upperbody instead of a fitness gym)
Hiking to remote places and do some easy, unroped free solo climbing is what I enjoy most these days.. :)
/ You are (still) not allowed (or donΒ΄t want to) hike during the pandemic where you live?

Free solo? Wow, you are one crazy fellow (in a good way)! Closest I've done to free solo climbing is just...bouldering some 5 meter high limestone river boulders here. Hahaha! Takes another level of guts and focus. :)
Unfortunately quarantine laws here are stricter so we all have to abide; local tourism is badly hit but many of us outdoor types are itching for the day when they finally relax quarantine laws and allow hiking, climbing and other outdoor activities.

Actually I celebrated my birthday pretty close to the mountain Watzmann - the one you where stationed very close to when in the army, as I recall...
