Wow, I missed this in the news.
He was such an amazing actor... really enjoyed his movies. He has an outstanding uniqueness and flair to him, especially in SciFi and horror movies and shows. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Re: RIP John Saxon
Although I liked John Saxon in Enter the Dragon, the first movie I ever saw him in was the 1966 film, Queen of Blood (AKA, Planet of Blood), on TV when I was a little kid. For the time period, the movie was ahead of its time, and as a kid, I thought the female “alien queen” was creepy. She was also vampiric, so the movie combined sci-fi and horror. Queen of Blood is thought by many to have been the inspiration for Ridley Scott’s Alien (1979).
I also really liked John Saxon as the clueless dad/Lt. Thompson in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street. He really nailed that role; his character’s cluelessness was maddening. I remember the audience in the theater I saw it at becoming verbally frustrated by his character’s naïveté. Not the easiest thing to pull off convincingly onscreen.
John Saxon was also memorable in his role as a robot spy who fought Steve Austin (Lee Majors) in an early episode of The Six Million Dollar Man.
