Just had my gallbladder removed, so I got to enjoy some apple sauce... :(
Wow, so you ended up having the surgery - I'm sure it was the right call. My father-in-law is doing great and has had a pretty easy recovery all things considered. I hope yours goes just as well!

My young (31) brother in law just had his removed also. He was miserable before, but felt much better immediately. He is still lazy though, but that is another story. Most people I know of are miserable before this surgery, then feel night and day better. I hope the same for Sumdumguy.

We are very close to the same age, your brother and I.

I feel like crap right this second, but hopefully it won't last too much longer. I'm so sore from the surgery and then I have a pain in my shoulder(gas) that refuses to go away.

On the food front, I ate some Ice a minute ago...

He got better quickly, and I'm sure you are in better shape than he is. Best wishes for you to do the same.

Yiikes. I hope that’s not half as unpleasant as it sounds.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Thanks, everyone.

I'm starting to heal up. Feeling pretty good, except for this dang shoulder. But, I was finally able to stop pacing and lay down. That's progress, haha.

Now, I'm going to try and get some sleep.

Back on topic, first meal cooked for myself.
(Feeling great, still need sleep)

Caprese chicken. It was low sodium, using the cheese as the main source of sodium. There is less cheese there than it looks like.

Tomatoes, garlic, chicken, a splash of olive oil, balsamic vinegar and basil.

One of my favorites, let's see how it treats me.

Now, that's what I call a deal! I just noticed that it says select on the tags. The bags say choice >:)

Can you guess what's for dinner tonight?

The garden is producing lots of squash, zucchini and cucumber at the moment. Tomatoes are not yet ripe but we have a lot on the vine if the rain doesn't make them split. they will smoke up nice for chili in January and February. Peppers and watermelon are struggling a bit more than I'd hoped . Onion and carrots are great. Lettuce already bolted.

Just stopped at the dock and the farm today. Tonight is Blue Claws, little neck steamers, white corn, tomatoes, and blueberry cobbler for desert. Everything harvested within 5 minutes of my house.
