Very happy with the Steelers draft choices so far.
Apart from Harris, we drafted a Tight End out of Penn State and a Guard from Illinois

The tight end they picked up, Pat Freiermuth, is from Massachusetts so I heard a lot about him before the draft and was watching where he ended up. They got one of the better tight ends in this draft, thats for sure!

Spot on as usual Nick!
It's really great. I was really happy they picked up a Guard too.
But, this probably being Ben's last year, the Steelers have done all they can do as far as the draft is concerned imo, Nick.
They gave Ben a running game, a super important tight end and help on the o-line.
I'm really excited about this season now!
Pittsburgh is **** on wheels whenever we have a good run game. And will be especially so with this new fresh tight end too.

Packers love trolling their MVP quarterbacks... Can't think of another franchise that treats their star QBs with zero respect lol

Sadly, sports are a business, so popular players can be cast aside with little regard for them as a human. Other positions are pretty much fungible (RBs, looking at you). But if there has anything analytics have taught us, there is no more important position in any sport than QB. I really don't get what they are trying to do. I read that the 49ers offered them the 3rd overall pick, but were quickly shot down.

Have to say I'm pretty impressed with the Giants moves and picks so far. Granted a CB in the 3rd when we are currently loaded at the position is a small head scratcher, especially when we have other needs. Apparently he was the best available and a steal at that spot though. (I really don't watch much college football, so I'm not sure how good anybody outside the top 10 picks are)
15 :bug-red 's in 10 different steels
1 - Bradford Guardian 3 / Vanadis 4E Wharnie
1 - Monterey Bay Knives Slayback Flipper / ZDP 189
1 - CRK Small Sebenza 31/Macassar Ebony Inlays
1 - CRK Large Inkosi Insingo/ Black Micarta Inlays
1 - CRK Small Sebenza 31 Insingo/Magnacut

I'm a big proponent of maximizing talent, so go with the best player. If you really want to draft for positional need, trade down rather than "reach" for the position. Use free agents to address specific needs.

I know it's a business, but the front office seems to forget that Aaron and Brett (in the past) are why the fans show up and spend money. Keep the talent happy and you make more money. Treating the current MVP like trash is bad for business.

So, with the draft over, how are you feeling about your team now?

My team got bigger, faster, and meaner. And hopefully some of these rookies beat out some over-priced and under-performing vets. I can't wait to see how training camp and the preseason shape up.

As good as can be!
We've done all we can to help Big Ben.
As mentioned before, we've given him a run game which was most important, another weapon in a tight end and we have shored up the o-line to protect Ben with a Guard and a Tackle.
We also made some defensive pics.
So, as the situation dictates, I think the Steelers nailed this draft.

I think the Bears and Lions will give the Packers and Vikings fits this season. Time for a new NFC North king

Very happy with the moves the Patriots made. It feels good to finally have another potential franchise QB! They also needed help at rushing the passer and stopping the run and they made some picks picks addressing those needs.

I'm interested to see the undrafted players Bill picks up. He always seems to land at least one undrafted player on the roster each season.

How many weeks of Cam choking will it take to get the new kid in there? I am excited about a young prospect but we should have signed a better free agent when we had the chance. Gonna be a long year.

Hopefully we can pull off 8-8.

8-8-1 If we're lucky! ;) LOL But I do agree it would have been nice to get a veteran QB better than Cam this off season. Especially if we were able to retain the 15th overall this year and still draft a future QB.

I remember during last season being completely against bringing Cam back because of how bad he was throwing the ball in some games, but I've bought into the argument that he didn't really have enough talent around him on offense to really succeed. The receivers and tight ends he has to throw to now are significantly improved over last year, so that excuse it gone.

The issue is his ability to play under pressure. With even the slightest pass rush he is gonna throw an interception. Doesn’t matter who he has to throw to if he cannot read a defense and react appropriately.

Isn't Cam the only veteran that would sign with the Pats for cheap? Everyone else wanted more money?
