Here’s my new small game .22lr
It’s a CZ 457 Bolt action with an aftermarket stock, 10 round mags,
AR-15 style but stock, m-lock slots on the front and a inexpensive Riton red dot sight (The optic is actually really great for the price). The rifle is small, (about 32” with the but-stock in the shortest position, and because of the optic you can shoot it with the butt stock in any position.) very portable and way more accurate than I am.

This is my first red dot, I think I’m gonna like this thing.
Nice! I've got a CZ 457 - think your gonna love it
Congratulations!

Such a great, versatile little pistol! My wife bought my G26 for me back in 2005, no telling how many thousand of rounds through it with not one malfunction ever!

Very concealable as is but a G19 magazine with an X-Grip turns it into a higher capacity mid-size pistol. Definitely not a skinny like a 43X or 48 but the G26 shoots like a bigger Glock, very accurate, actually crazy accurate for it’s size!

Couple of weeks back I shot 3 magazines of Underwood 124gr. +P JHP out of it, super flat shooting like a laser!

Two weeks ago, my grandson, 16, came up for spring break
with three friends, age 15. He wanted to shoot a rifle.

We set the Ruger Predator with the Magpul stock
and a bipod on the bench.

For some reason I cannot understand
two of the boys did not want to shoot.
It's not like they are pansies.
They're on the school football team.
This worries me about the next generation.

It was a four minute of angle match.
An 8 inch plate at 200 yards.
A 12 inch plate at 300 yards.
A 16 inch plate at 400 yards.

Each shooter gets 3 shots.
The shooter cannot advance to the next plate
until they hit the first plate.

My grandson shot first and missed with his first shot.
That was the only miss between the two boys
for three rounds.

Neither had done any rifle shooting to speak of
before that day. The Ruger had a Vortex scope
with a BDC, bullet drop compensating, reticle.

All I did was tell them which hash mark to use
at each distance. I was surprised and pleased
with the boys and the scope.

Already do.

It was set up for target shooting with a precision stock and a big scope but I wanted something more compact so I change it up a little bit.

Try active hearing protection. My younger daughter hates the loud noise of shooting, and active hearing pro helps her a lot.

I provided ear plugs.

Tell them my 13 year old daughter shoots better than them?

That definitely would have worked on me when I was 15.

Congratulations, Mac. You are such a tease.
Looking forward to seeing the... SOL..GW...M4..76.
Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue.

Forgive my curmudgeonliness, Mac.
It's not your fault.
Most of the pistols and rifles these days
including most of my own
are forgettable alphanumeric tongue twisters.

Remember the Peacekeeper, Python, Diamondback.
Or just the year patented. Winchester 96, Colt 1911.
Where is the romance?

Spyderco does a good job of giving names to their knives.
Ruger uses a lot of names for rifles and pistols.
Here is a rifle name generating website that's fun.
https://www.fantasynamegenerators.com/rifle-names.php

On second thought...
Prosecutor: The defendant used
a .45 caliber, 13-round Annihilator pistol
on this poor, unarmed 14-year old boy
who accidentally got into the wrong car
and will never walk again.

Uh... yeh, okay. Now where did I put that PF-9?

It's a slow day.

Ha! 😆
I know what ya mean!
I had a helluva time lookin up other guns that I was considering as well!
& your right!
Btw, was in a lgs this morning & got to handle a new Colt Python- the 3" version
I gotta say, just from handling it, Colt did one helluva job on that revolver!
The best double action pull I've felt on a revolver save my '77 S&W 19-3
If they had lightened the single action pull by just a little it would be perfect imo!
Man, I'm gonna get a Python before it's over lol

Okay, I’m a sucker for OD Green, wasn’t looking, wasn’t in the market, and paid more than I should have, but here I am…..

The P2000 and the USP Expert 9mm (in that order) have been on my “to get” list for awhile now, guess I can check one off now! I really wanted a V2 LEM P2000, but when this V3 DA/SA ODG one showed up it was in my car beside me before I knew what happened!
