The Last Gun You Bought
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Haven't bought my last gun, but this is the most recent purchase in the most recent holster.
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
HK UPS Custom Combat with Jet Funnel, fantastic pistol!
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Very nice! I've been thinking hard about a new Gen 5 Glock 17......and 19......and the new G45 :D I still shoot my Gen 1 17 quite often! Problem is, I've been on a HK kick lately, there's 3 or 4 HK models I have my eye on right now. What I need is a money tree in my backyard!
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
HK pistols I'd buy today......
P2000sk V2 9mm.
P30L V1 9mm.
USP Expert 9mm w/Jet Funnel magwell.
The P30L is a unicorn right now, been looking hard for one for close to a year!
MacLaren, with you being a Glock 17 fan, I think you'd like the P30 / P30L with the V1 Light LEM trigger system! The trigger reset definitely has a learning curve to it but when that light bulb go off, it's really sweet!

A Ruger AR556 with a free float handguard. My new predator rifle. No complaints. Thinning the coyotes out good this winter.

Dude, the next striker fired pistol I'm going to get will be the CZ P10f. They say they are really awesome.benben wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 7:56 amHK pistols I'd buy today......

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
That USP Custom Combat is a nice gun. I have a standard USP45FS and a Tactical, and they're my favorite pistols behind the HK45. I've always thought the USP Expert was a bit of an odd duck, but I'm sure it shoots great.

Thank you :)
And, I've always been very partial to hammer fired myself!
I LOVE my 1911 and Sig hammer fired pistols.
I'm still getting acquainted with striker fired guns.

Like that 457 ATR!The Deacon wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 6:02 amWow, this thread made me realize it's been seven months since my last gun purchase. :o At any rate here it is, a 24" barrelled CZ 457 AT-Ready in .22LR, that has since been fitted with a CVLife bipod, Leupold 3X9 scope, and Q Erector suppressor. Scope mounts have since been swapped out for lower ones, and bipod replaced by a Caldewell. Fun little combo, especially when shooting CCI Quiet ammo.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

I've looked at and handled quite a few CZ's, man they have a cult following! But if I were to buy one, unfortunately for me ($), it'd have to be aMacLaren wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 8:25 amDude, the next striker fired pistol I'm going to get will be the CZ P10f. I've also been saying a Springfield Saint Victor 300 Blackout pistol is my next purchase, it never ends!

Dude, tell me about it!
I really believe we are in a Golden age or era of guns.
So many nice guns and rifles to choose from now....
One of my all time favorite buys was the CZ Bren 805 PS1
I LOVE a short barreled rifle man...

Re: The Last Gun You Bought
I don’t really buy guns unless they fill a niche for me and that is hard to justify at this point. I rationalized an ar15 this year for predator hunting but I didn’t really need it.
The last gun I bought before that was an SP101 about five years ago.
My next gun will probably be a new muzzleloader this fall. My old CVA has been rode hard and put away wet too many times. Even with all the rust it still hits a paper plate at 100 yards with the iron sights and it has killed a lot of deer. I just want a stainless barreled smoke pole from here on out.
My funds this spring are going towards a crossbow. Vermont just legalized them for hunting and I want to try to harvest a turkey with one this spring. :)

One thing that I really like about the Gen 5 G17, is the slide finish. The Gen 4 G31 I had would scratch up instantly.
This new finish on the 5th Gen Glocks are very nice. No scratching at all thus far.

Wow. I had no idea. P30L V1 9mm is my nightstand gun, but I've had it for quite a while. I didn't realize they had become hard to find.
Re: The Last Gun You Bought
Interesting that there are so many HK geeks amongst the Spyderco geeks. I have three, two of which get carried. Gotta say, though, that the P2000SK is my favorite.
