Image Here is my other hammer pistol , CZ75B Omega. It is old school and very fond of it . Just melts in my hand and very well balanced . Going to do a few things to it but really needs little . Sorry the picture is real good , weather has been rainy and windy for a outside shot . Will post nightstand gun tomorrow if possible . MG2

Ohhh man......my grail is a model 27-2 3.5" but, those are a fortune if you can find one.
Seriously though, I really like those new 586-LComp 3.5" barrel. Check one if those out Josh. Get a Performance Center model. Should be super nice bro.

I really hope one you well heeled fellows buys a Manurhin MR73 and regales us with tales of how great they are. I’d love one, but a little too dear for me.

They are probably the finest, most durable combat revolver ever made. Beretta recently bought the company, so hopefully they survive.

French designed and built! The French have a long history of making fine weapons, mostly doing things their own way.The MR73 is what Americans would call the “right way” to make a revolver. Read up on them, very impressive weapons.

One for special occasions and one for everyday. A great pair, MacLaren.

To change the subject slightly, not my last gun but a new configuration.
On a nice day, I like to walk around the property.
Heaven knows I need the exercise.
And when I do, I like to carry my Ruger American Compact rifle.

A carry sling won't stay on my shoulder
and is difficult to deploy quickly.
I always envied the way operators carry their M16s.
But if I slung the Ruger across my chest it hung upside down.

Fast forward to a Sling Setups by Garand Thumb video.
Sound of hand slapping forehead.
Grabbed my AR15 out of the gun room
and switched the sling to the offside of the butt stock.
It was a revelation.

Ordered a new sling with a fast adjust loop
in khaki to complement my Green New Deal AI-style stock
and a set of sling swivel studs.
Drilled two holes in rifle. (Very stress inducing.)
Screwed in new swivel studs and threaded new sling
through old sling swivels.

Now the Ruger rides flat across my chest,
right side up, even with the 10-round magazine removed.
Merely raising the rifle with my left hand
quickly places the butt into the pocket of my shoulder.

Now, where are those coyotes?

Mac & MG94 - thanks fellas!
I will add that the 1911 is just absolutely phenomenal!!
The 2011 (Compensated) is so dam Cool! And fits in the hand like a dream. Lightweight, holds 14+1
Has a very nice green fiber optic front sight....but, the trigger isn't nearly what the 1911 is.
But, I'm gonna fix that. I'm gonna send it to a Smith to get the creep out and take the pull weight to 3 pounds
I gotta say, it's a super nice economical option as compared to the Staccato and others.
Btw, Mad Mac, would you care to provide me a link for your pics, bro? I would live to see them!

Dang guys, I really like this 2011
Lighter and holds almost as x2 the rounds a 1911 will.
And, it feels so good in hand. As far as the compensator, I think it does a good job. To be honest, I don't really shoot enough to realize the difference I reckon. I was pretty excited when I first shot it.
This week sometime, I'm gonna take it and the 1911 out and compare recoil between the two.

I was asking my dad about what .22 LR pistol I should buy and he said “Don’t buy one just take this.” What a generous man!
