I've owned a few dogs throughout my life. Most recent was a couple of German Shepherds that were great dogs but they both wanted to bite and go after anyone who wasn't family  >> that got to be a problem so I ended up giving one to a farmer who really loved him and the other one ironically got hit and killed by a truck going down our street before his new owner came and got him :( .

But the one dog I had a few years back was truly way beyond any other animal I ever owned. His name was "Leo" and he was an Irish Setter. I was told by a breeder that he was the "big headed hunter" variety of the Irish Setter breed. That Irish Setter was so loyal to me over the years that when he died I was crying off and on for almost a month before I got myself settled down. He was so smart and so protective and he was just a very special dog. I've always liked bigger dogs for some strange reason and I've just had really good luck with bigger dogs and I really don't know why.

I still want to tear up at times when I think about my old Irish Setter "Leo". He was a very special dog and one of a kind.

Had a rescue Pekingese that was my constant companion for the last 8 years. He passed in September and a month later I was adopted by this 9 year old Mini Schnauzer named Romeo. :)

I’m silly for dogs, but Terriers do make me smile and laugh more.

Here's Tallulah in the backyard.

2 year-old German Shepherd-Husky mix I rescued. Smartest, cutest, most loyal dog I've ever had. Currently trying to get her sponsored by Ruffwear. :-)

Love all the pictures! Aside from the few years I lived in dorms, I've always had a dog or a roommate with a dog. Can't imagine life without one (or two). Here's Eli - a blue doberman we adopted about 6 years ago. He's about the gentlest old man you'll ever meet, despite the fact that he had a pretty rough start in life. My kids call him Mr. Wiggles because he wags his whole body so hard every time we come home.

Our Bubby just got back from the vets after being under anesthesia for xrays on his hip/leg. My wife just sent me this pic after picking him up hahah! Still looks like he's in another world, but that underbite and those tucked up lips are too much :D
