Chalk it up to beauty being in the eye of the beholder, and some folks valuing visibility over looks.

Some people must like it, because it has been available from Esee for many years now.

It's not my favorite, but I like it enough, and would often prefer anything to black and silver, given the choice.

I don't want one, and do not go in to forests that often, but if I did it makes sense over an all blacked out knife. An all black knife in a forest might be a problem if you dropped it and could not quickly find it.

One way to improve this knife for all forests incl rain forests would be to make it out of LC200N. Maybe Spyderco would make one...and I'd buy one for that day I happen to trek in to a forest.

I HATE toxic green. I am so glad that the whole Zombie marketing thing is finally dying off.

Well I guess I'm just a bit different in that way. Because for some of my "hard user" blades I actually like to use the Nuclear Yellow, Orange and Green Spyders. They are easy to find and keep track of. And the colors for a work knife really don't bother me at all. Now would I wear clothes that color? OH maybe in the hot summer or in outdoor activities. But probably not with clothes I wear in work and normal activities.

IN some ways I kind of like those "Glow In The Dark" handles.

I lost one of my black FRN handled Spyderco Merlin models one day helping a friend cut up wood. Oh we finally found it in all the bark, sawdust and chain saw shavings but it sure took a while to find it. I lost a Nuclear Yellow handled TASMAN one day in similar circumstances and I found it in less that 5 minutes.

I hear what you are saying JD but you would just as effective with one or the other. Black handle on a green blade or orange handle on silver blade.
Ugh this just hurts my eyes.
