Monopod, but I don't use it, they get in the way....

Beautiful bird. Their heads are amazingly iridescent.

I got some good ones that morning considering how bad the lighting was. :eek:

Very heavy overcast, thick dark clouds, was pretty dark really..

Oh I know the struggle! I feel like I'm always battling lighting. It's either not enough, flat and dull, or backlit. My dogs are always standing between me and the sun. Thank goodness for digital though. I've saved a lot of pics using Photoscape, which is pretty helpful for a free program. Those came out great though, plenty of color!

Thanks, especially since I shot as high ISO

Like I said it was pretty dark that morning...

At least I could recover them, I knew they were sharp, just needed to bring them up some.
