I've been tempted by that Alox. I like the look of that little wharncliffe blade.

Who makes a good leather pouch for SAKs? I love these tools, but that soft scale material gets eaten by keys (heck, they come pre scuffed from the factory sometimes)

I had one and it was an incredible knife.
That is one well built piece of equipment!

Yeah the Vic scissors are great!

Have you guys checked out the one hand opening Soldier? My brother brought me one back from Switzerland. It has a lefty liner lock, which I like. But then the serrations are ground in righty configuration! I’ve sharpened mine to about 15 degrees inclusive.

This reminds me that one of my minor modding projects I need to do to it is grind a proper point on the blade.

It has a great saw, and a locking flat head screwdriver which is stout enough to use as a pry tool. It’s been my most used SAK since I got it.

Great! I like those knives in both posts.

The only issue I have with Victorinox is that key ring post that sticks out in an awkward place and digs a hole in your hand when you use the knives or tools. They need to fix this.

Funny you mention that. My one and only grudge against my electrician is... no key ring. Different strokes I suppose.

Love all my SAKs, but the pioneer X is my new fav since I picked one up a week ago. Scissors and Alox... instant win!

I believe this is a Hunter model with custom scales by Richlite. I had to us some filters to bring out the engraved pattern on the scales.

Totally agree, the Pioneer X is my perfect SAK. I sold several of my others because they didn't have scissors and I realized how much I actually use the scissors! My latest:

That thing is gorgeous! Mine is just a PJ silver. But it works, just doesn't have the LCF.
