Always been into import cars, various Hondas, 93' SI 00' SI and a self built CTR. My baby now is a 11' Subaru WRX and I expect I'll drive it till the wheels fall off.

Right now I have these two, a 2015 Mercedes GLK350 that I use for all the boring stuff, like food shopping...
Only suv, that I've driven, that gives me the "giggle" feeling my WRX does. Such good throttle response and a grumbly exhaust note!

My first car was my 2001 Sunfire. I had this car since it was new and had it from my senior year in high school until I was 23. Dropped a stupid amount of money into it, as you'll see in the pics. Fast and the Furious came out around this time and all us young guys went nuts. Full body kit, huge wing, painted my calipers/drum brakes and interior vents red, obnoxiously bright off road lights in the grill, loud fart can exhaust, cold air intake and even headers...didn't know anything about tuning back then and ended up cracking the headers, it ran so rich that it broke apart the honeycomb of the catalytic converter and it got lodged in the muffler. Regardless, some of the best years of my life were with this car and the friends I had and the car club I was in. I look back now and think..."what a tool", but man those were great times :D

Next was my 2005 Chevy Colorado. I liked the low profile look of it and bought some 20" rims with rubberband tires that rode like crap, but looked pretty good. Got a different hood with some hood scoops and a hard top cover. A fun little truck to bomb around in.

All these pics are actual photographs that I took pictures of with my phone, that's why they look so weird.

Next was my 2009 Mitsubishi Evo X. This was one amazingly fun car, and another I dropped WAAAYYYYY too much money into...though this car was built for it, unlike the Sunfire! I bought this brand new and instantly began modding the car. 2.0L, AWD drive with 291HP out of the box. This time around I didn't go for the super flashy looks...I actually got rid of the factory tall wing, it was right in my line of vision and drove me crazy. I put a base model Lancer low spoiler on there instead. I tinted my reflectors, emblems, painted the red Brembo calipers...drove me nuts the way they looked with an Orange car. Got some wider rims/tires, lowered it 1.75" and added the splitter on the front bumper called it a day for looks. I knew if I went too crazy, it would draw too much unwanted attention...especially with what was to come

I ended up doing a turbo kit upgrade, a full 3" straight back exhaust, cold air intake, replaced the intercooler and piping. I took it to STM tuning in Rochester NY and had everything tuned on a fairly mild tune as it was my daily driver. I bought a Cobb Accessport tuner that I could change a few different maps that they had programmed into it. The map I used for daily driving put the car at 383HP/411lb/ft...to the wheels at a high of 23PSI at redline then tapering off. You buy a car and they say it's 300HP, that's not accurate as to how many HP are being put to the ground. You're most likely only getting around 270HP to the wheels. This is why tuning is so very important, ESPECIALLY after doing modifications. It felt like a whole new car.

Sadly I can't seem to find my photos of the engine bay when all the work was done, only when I was replacing the intercooler and piping :o

I ended up selling the car in 2015 when my now wife and I decided it was time to move out of my little bachelor pad of a home and into our current home. I used the money from selling the car for the down payment. It was tough, but in the end it has been worth it...but I really miss the crap out of this car, the sound, the way it could just throw you back in the seat and you couldn't sit forward if you tried. No turbo lag and the amazing AWD system.

Now as a more settled down man in my mid 30's, I've got my 2019 Dodge Ram Classic (Classic because it kept the previous generation body style...I haven't warmed up to the new style). It's a lease, so it forces me to stay under control and not go crazy with modifications haha. I've blacked out the badges, installed a Carven Exhaust (which sounds amazing with no drone either for anybody ever considering exhaust for their truck, check them out) installed some black housing headlights, tint, step bars and some meatier tires and different wheels. Tows our camper no problem, great for landscaping work and getting firewood. Most practical vehicle I've owned, but still with a few subtle touches to make it feel like mine.

Thanks! I've come a long ways haha. Had a 2016 that was similar to this truck. I really like those new Chevy's that you've got, I'm one promotion away haha!! Chevy's aren't cheap. One of the guys at work has a Trail Boss, beautiful and badass truck but a good $15,000 more than mine. Cool that at this time, every brand has a great full size truck to choose from. Never seen it like this before.

Most days I commute on a Trek Emonda SL6 with Mavics.

It's worth more than my car. lol.

That's just like a friend of mine I grew up with that lives in Colorado now. Right out of high school he got big into mountain biking, I can't remember what bike he had but it was like $2,500...and he was driving a $700 Chevy Corsica haha! Funny seeing the bike on the roof of his car, knowing it was more expensive than the car. Now he's making crazy money as an electrical engineer and has a $12,000 custom carbon fiber bike that he does all this crazy trail riding on. He's got some good videos up on Youtube somewhere. Must be nice!

Currently and since new, a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. Wife’s driving a ‘12 Hyundai Elantra.
Before that she drove a Honda Civic. I was in a ‘94 Honda Accord. Prior to the Accord I had a Pontiac Sunfire, worst pos ever. Will never own another GM because of that! Before that had an ‘81 GMC Sierra Classic and an ‘84 Pontiac GrandPrix.
From 2002-2012 I had an ‘02 Honda CBR 600f4i that I bought new. Never had a lot of time to ride and when my second kid was born I had zero ride time so I ended up selling it to a friend. Just yesterday he put it up for sale and even though I still have no time for it, it was tempting for a moment.

Yeah man, all 3 really do.
I really like the LT Trail Boss. And, the 2020 models, you'll have the option of putting the 6.2 & 10 speed in one :D
Actually, that would be for the Custom Trail Boss and RST models.
Which, is a little strange considering the LT Trail Boss is.much nicer than the Custom Trail Boss. But, if it were me, I'd stick with that 5.3 8 speed. I love mine :D :D

Ok I’ll share.

I once had a 1969 Type II transporter AKA VW Bus. My understanding is there were less than 1000 panel buses imported that year. It wasn’t pretty to look at but It was very mechanically sound and had a 1915cc with the dual carbs. Not quick but quick for a bus. I drove it for 15 years every day even during the summer time in Arizona with no air conditioning  I loved it and I must’ve been suffering from temporary insanity because I sold it; WTF was I thinking?

I’ve moved on to something a lot more reliable. I’m now driving a 01 Toyota Tacoma Pre Runner. I really like it. This is my third Tacoma I’ve owned a 1999, a 2000 both extended cabs but had to get a four door when the baby arrived

My daily driver is a pretty mundane 2015 Nissan Leaf. I enjoy the smooth power delivery that the electric motor offers and not having a transmission is novel.

For fun I have a 1995 Subaru Legacy that I RallyCross with the local SCCA group. The car is all stock, I've focused on reliability since I have to drive it to events, race and then drive home. I have removed the front sway bar which helps with suspension articulation and also gives me a little more body role that helps with transitions.

I had a 71 Westfalia that I drove home from the Army after I got out almost 20 years ago. Winter travel in a Transporter is not for the meek!! I sold it a couple years ago. I'd love to pick another one up again. That's a sweet one you had Blue, and an awesome user name!!! 👍👍

Thanks bearrowland, he was my baby. Don’t think I’ll ever love a vehicle like I did that one.

Yeah once you see the bus it kind of makes sense why that’s my user name lol
