Best way to remove stains from DLC

#1

Post by Knivesinedc »

Hey y'all! Long time no post. Back again to ask what you guys do to help remove stains from your DLC coated blades. I have a used protech coming in the mail this next week and the seller informed me it has a loctite stain on the blade. Never had loctite stain anything, but I figure it probably didn't penetrate the coating. Any ideas on how to get it off once I receive the knife? All ideas are appreciated! -Jake-

Is it really a stain or is it dried Loctite? I use Flitz to remove snail trails on DLC, maybe try that unless it is for sure just dried Loctite, then I'd try acetone or whatever Loctite recommend for removal.
