Kme stones

I'm curious about some of the some sets for the kme sharpening system. I'm considering getting the system and curious if these stone sets are worth it.

Would the alumina and silicon stones be worth using on my softer steel knives to save wear on the diamond stones?

Also any thoughts on the dmt set for the kme system.

Hey Adam, I use SiC for just about everything. From my experience, I think you may find Al2O3 a little frustrating as it doesn’t seem to cut as aggressively as SiC and has a tendency to glaze. I’ve also found it takes more effort to lapp/flatten when required. :)
