Since I am in Canada I don't have many options for handgun carry. However, when I am in the woods where bear/wolf/cougar defense may be required I carry a 12g pump-action shotgun with a 13" barrel.

When I used to carry a handgun, it was mainly a Glock 26. Before that it was a Walther PPS.

Now I just carry a chip on my shoulder.

I carry a Smith 642, glock 43, or a sig 365 in custom leather Nelson pocket holsters. I'm a carry 24/7 guy. I also belt carry a Smith 686 in a Nelson avenger sometimes.

I almost have given in to my urges for one of those, but I already have the original and I don't carry it much so I can't quite justify it yet. I usually carry it with the extended mag, and I realized that it's exactly the same length in the grip as a Glock 19 and for me grip length is the hardest thing to conceal so if I want something smaller than a 19 I reach for the Glock 43.



Lately I've been carrying this guy around. The grip is fantastic at the range but it's doing a number on my hip :o

Don't have a CCW, but on my property I keep a Sig Sauer P228, P229, and P226. The P228 is a classic Austrian pure bred with proof stamps. All are tack drivers.

Hah, that takes me back. My first conceal carry pistol was the original full size M&P 9. Not the easiest to conceal, haha.

I like how slim & light the Shield is while still feeling like a full sized pistol for the most part. A lot of other guns in this size range, and especially the smaller .380's feel more like toys in comparison.

I thought about going with the Glock 43, especially with the 15 round magazines supposedly coming out for it, but it was $200 more and I have more familiarity with the Shield family.

I used to carry a Keltec P3AT that I successfully defended myself from a pack of large dogs with. However, if I were back where I could carry again, I would probably get a S&W Ti .38 Special because it can use heavier bullets. I worked where I needed something that would disappear, not be noticed, and still be reliable. So, I chose the Keltec. I had a gunsmith put a shotgun bead site on it for me. (How did Ruger not get sued over their clear use of Keltec's design?). Now that I do not work there anylonger, a Glock 19 and a S&W .38 would do what I need doing.

I used to carry a P3AT (this gun is so light I actually carried 2 at a time) and a PF9 and I loved both guns but hated the trigger. The pull is so long I had dreams where when I tried to defend myself but I couldn't pull far enough to fire the weapon. The Springfield Armory XDs 3.3 9mm single stack is closer in size to the PF9 but better in so many ways. I have 5 different 9mm's and the XDs is my absolute favorite.

I still carry my old Ruger P95 9mm with a 15 round magazine. With 125 grain SD rounds, no name nylon holster in the truck, bianchi holster in the great outdoors and just tucked in the waistband for CC which is kind of a no-no.

I know some of you guys carry a lot more rounds but I figure if I can’t take care of business with 15 rounds, I don’t need to be carrying it

Well I pack a Glock 19 in a Galco Miami 2 shoulder rig. With 2 extra mags and a police 4 in my rfp. Not the easiest way to get to my firearm but works good for me. And disappears under a sweatshirt.
