Go Yanks!!
Off to a good start despite an horrendous run of injuries.
It’s going to be another great season.

Just started my audio only mlb subscription - which also has no commercial condensed game videos - and watched friday's Tigers White Sox home run marathon.

Gotta love the MLB app. I’d be lost without it down here in Oz.

A loooong time Yankees fan.
I’ve been playing baseball my whole life. Currently player-coach in our 3rds and also coach the under 17s.
Finally got to go to the USA last May and saw Judgey hit a HR and take a great catch at Yankee Stadium against that team from Boston. Fantasy experience.
Saw 5 games in all and also got to play a game with some local characters on Heritage Field which was a treat.

I am a life-long Yankees fan. Most of my heros growing up (like Mantle) were Yankees. Though I do pull for the Braves, otherwise.

Was really glad I got to see Chipper play his final year in Atlanta.
VS the Yankees no less. Got to see Jeter & Co. Raul Ibanez homered off our then rookie Julio Tehran. It was a good game.
The Yankees did win.

I'm surprised how well the Yanks have been playing, considering their basically out there with their triple A team!

When they get fully healthy, or close to it...watch out

Thanx Pete.
I always enjoyed him too. He was directly from my generation. We are the same age. I always followed him pretty closely.
I'll never forget the 1999 season he had.
He was truly a great switch hitter.
There is a great video of he and Jim Thome going into the Hall together. They ask each other questions on the van ride over.
Check it out sometime if ya can.
Lol, Jim Thome was a lot man when he played.

Chipper was in a league of his own. He was special.

Yeah, I agree Dan.
He was an all time switch hitter and 3rd basemen.
When I think 3rd base, I think, George Brett and Mike Schmidt.
Chipper is right there with them as one of the all time greats.
And, he did it clean.
Edit, I had originally included Eddie Murray among those 3rd basemen. My mistake, Murray was a great switch hitter too,.with more dingers and hits than Chipper, but a lower ( under .300 ) lifetime batting average.
It's late and I'm tired lol

It took me 50yrs and 17,000kms to get there.
Trip of a lifetime.

Got to see the WTC memorial and museum, Brooklyn Bridge, Empire State Building, Central Park, the Strawberry Fields memorial to John Lennon, met some great characters, got booed at Fenway Park, saw the White House, Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, JFK & RFKs gravesites, The Capitol and the Smithsonian.
Helluva trip👍

I was watching condensed game videos on the audio only MLB and they showed an instant replay review ( what wiki calls it ). How does this work? They only showed the umpire hold his hand up with a fist for the out call. Is there a signal like football where they throw a red weighted cloth?

I think the Manager has a certain amount of time to tell the Umpire if they want the play reviewed. No flags are thrown that I'm aware of. They just tell the Umpire.

I long for the day that we have robot umps and DH in both leagues! The strike zone should always be the same no matter who's umping, to this undermines the pitcher and hitter and it's rarely consistent.

With the exception of MacLaren's boy Madison Bumgarner and a few others, watching pitchers hit is awful. Just giving away outs is stupid when every at bat matters. imo of course :p

Hehehe.... :D
Ole Bum is un-freakin real man
I remember the time he went head to head with Kershaw.
Not only did ole Bum win, he hit a homer off Kershaw too
That being said, I want the DL in the NL too.

I’m a little old school.
I love all the variances and idiosyncrasies of baseball.
Pitchers need to learn how to hit. ****, if Bartolo Colon can hit one over the fence then others should practice to a decent level where they won’t let their team down.
They could also field a lot better imho. Too many pitchers let the ball go and become spectators. Good way to get hurt.

The video reviews are working ok, I can live with that.
Everything else, don’t touch it!😉
