Obsessed with titanium (a little) - what else can I get?

#1

Post by archangel »

Apart from my spinal implant and my wedding band, I own a couple Spydies with titanium scales, a couple of titanium flashlights, a watch, two titanium tactical pens, a kubotan, a whistle, several keychain capsules, toothpicks, two ball chain necklaces, and a dog tag.

Company Titaner sells a few other thingies that are not of interest to me. What other titanium boy toys do YOU own? :)

I'm looking for portable stuff by the way. No dust collecting sculptures or so... ;) Useful things made out of this fantastic material called titanium.

Prybar, bottle opener and chopsticks I've seen. They just don't trigger this must-have reflex in me.

I don't have to wear glasses. If I'd have to, believe me I'd go for titanium frames. :)

The LM Charge, yeah... But I own a Surge with which I'm totally happy, so...

All valid suggestions, thanks. Gimme more! ;)

You can always start piercing parts of your body. The industry is slowly moving away from "surgical steel" to titanium because it's far less likely to cause allergic reactions.

I've got a bit in my skull but I can't really recommend it lol.

lol nice idea David, but not my style. :p Jewelry yes, but it's got to be fully external.

Most tempting are more tactical pens. There are a few that look appealing. Plus they are rather affordable. Nevertheless it's getting difficult to sell the need for a 3rd 4th 5th to the missis... ;)

I think I'd stay away from metal made from titanic as there are few knives if any made from it. :(

Plus it's probably haunted!

Maybe non-tactical pens?

I have some really nice pens from Tactile Turn, which also makes them in Ti. My one try on their Ti wasn't a hugely positive experience (it lacked the buttery smoothness of the stainless steel), but I'm still trying to figure out if that's just me, or is the Ti itself.

The Titaner Mini Bolt GR5 is on my radar. Would be a nice small alternative.

A zippo - nah. However if there was a titanium arc lighter... That would be down my alley. Need to check this.

I LOVE the idea of a titanium flask!! Same as the mug. Checking out the offers as I write this. :D

Wow, that one is... well out of my league, for a toy. Beautiful though. Congrats, Bloke!

I think I'll settle for an ok looking affordable no-name flask.

Many Thanks Michael!

It’s a great little flask I’ve had for a while now (can’t remember what I paid for it ). I use it for water when I go Fox Whistling (calling) cause my mouth dries out a little. I’m usually only out for a couple of hour and travel light with a little leather possibles bag off my shoulder and find it being round it seem to slosh less so it’s quieter than any other water bottle and much more compact taking up little room in a little 10” x 8” bag. :)
