Some of you might like to check out this maker:

http://peakledsolutions.net/index.html

The QTC (quantum tunneling composite) technology is pretty cool. There's no electronic circuitry except for the LED emitter.

They're very durable, and well made.

I usually run one of their high CRI copper Eigers, or an Olight S1R.

I EDC and use my ZebraLight H502W L2 AA Flood daily at the dog park (before sunrise). It's a headlamp, but I use it as my utility light that's always with me.

That Lumintop looks pretty cool. My brother keeps the Lumintop Tools in his first aid kits and seems to like them.

I've kinda got hooked on high CRI lights after getting the Peak Eiger.

I've got the FW3C and FW3T alongside my D4, D4Ti, D1S, and D4S. Went a little crazy once I discovered the power of modern LEDs in small packages....

So...awhile back I was looking for suggestions for a new light. There were a lot of great suggestions. For some reason I settled on Olight. I know a lot of flashlight connoisseurs don't like them but they work out great for my needs.

I've accumulated quite a few over the past few years and I've given away several. Most of the small ones in the pic below were freebies. Turns out I use those the most because there's almost always one in my pocke

Compared to the others the new tiny one is basically worthless. It's better than nothing but not very bright. The little I1R 2 EOS is way better.

CountyComm sells one very similar with a glow ring in the bezel, what they call afterburner. It does cost a bit more.

This has been my new favorite, and edc light for the last year. Very happy with it, and the battery lasts a good time, plus it’s rechargeable.
