Crazy Deals that are Non Spyderco

#1

Post by abbazaba »

Anyone have any interest in a thread to post deals on knives by other manufactures? I think Bladeforums has a no deal spotting rule, and Slickdeals rarely cares about anything other than a Kershaw. Let me know if you think this is in bad taste.

Amazon has the Zero Tolerance 0450CF for $130 today.

I just thought it would be great to have a place to share knife deals with other enthusiasts. It's too bad Bladeforums doesn't allow this. Please delete this thread if it's in bad taste to share here.

I don’t see why this would be in bad taste at all.

I think this a great idea. Certainly not in poor taste imo anyways.
Look forward to this thread.

I've seen it come and go twice in a week. Keep an eye on it if you're interested.

I was watching some ancient greece documentaries and kopis were featured throughout.

On a whim I looked up the Cold Steel Kopis machete. For $30 with sheath it looked like a fun tool to mess around with in the woods.

Looked it up on Cold Steels website to check out pictures of the sheath since the shop I checked out didn't have any.

Holy ****, they're only $10.

Looks like good utility! Did you order one? I've been enjoying a BK21 for what I assume would be similar uses.

they're discontinuing that model and other machete designs this year, so they'll be highly discounted for Nov-Dec on several places :o

No.

I ordered two :D

I'm excited to test them out. There's a dense, undeveloped patch of woods nearby that I've been meaning to do some work on. Planning to clear out a little camp spot for myself.

Good to know. I'll keep an eye out for other crazy prices. Do you know if they posted a list of discontinued models anywhere?

I don't know yet (some are already being discounted but not all of them) but the Christmas specials will be on the Special Projects site starting Monday 19th, so tomorrow you should see them on "https://ltspecpro.com/" and the websites of other retailers that apply the discount soon afterwards or the same day

A few years ago I grabbed the Gladius Machete, Bowie Machete and Jungle Machete on sale for $15 each, though they weren't being discontinued :D

Thanks, I'm going to keep that page open in a new tab and keep an eye on it over the next week. Couldn't believe how cheap the Kopis were. I bet that downward angle will make a mean chopper if my experience with kukris is anything to go by.
