Glad you were able to get things sorted out, Josh. I'm sorry to hear about the theft of your equipment. My father was a journeyman lineman for 29.5 years. His company purchased most of his tools, but there were several that he privately bought himself. In order to prevent theft, my dad painted all of his tools purple. It must've helped, because nobody seemed to want to steal purple Klein side bites. ;)

I've engraved my license number on all my tools now, the police officer I talked to told me if I were to do that no pawn shop will buy them, and it might be easier to get them back in the future. I'm sure the spray paint thing probably worked back then but I'm pretty sure today's theives have no shame and do not care at all anymore.

That being your work van, would putting a little camera in there be an option?
I would just for thieves to get caught....
