Re: Happy Birthday phillipsted!
Thanks, everyone! You guys are the best! I appreciate the good wishes!
I haven't been as active around here lately. This isn't a reflection on my admiration of Spyderco or my desire to hang out with you guys.
To be honest, I've been devoting most of my time outside of work/family on rekindling one of my old passions - woodworking with hand tools. I've been building furniture, boxes, and household items; I've carved spoons and other utensils; and designed and created wood art pieces. I've also turned a fair amount of wood into kindling as I try to become a better sawyer, practice my dovetailing, bash out a few practice mortise/tenon joints,; and hone my plane irons and chisels freehand. I've still got several Spydercos on my workbench which I'm outfitting with scales - and I will try to post pics of them in the near future. And of course, I've *always* got a Spydie in my pocket!
Cheers!

Re: Happy Birthday phillipsted!
Happy belated birthday! I'm glad to see you're still around on the forum and practicing your woodcraft. I look forward to seeing more of your scale work.
Re: Happy Birthday phillipsted!
Happy late bday Ted! I always wanted to get into woodworking, I think if I could do it over again that's what I'd be doing for a living.
