Fox Folders?

#1

Post by SpyderEdgeForever »

Fox is an Italian-based company and uses high-quality materials and craftsmanship and cutting-edge materials to make knives. They make a wide range of products, from bayonet and field combat and diving knives, to pocket folding and pen knives.

Here is one called the "Fox Amico":

It has an FRN handle and 154 CM stainless steel blade.

What are your opinions of the basic design, materials, and the way it looks? Nice?

I've heard good things about Fox, and not as good things about 154cm.

I like the looks of that one. I bet the ergos would be good for me.

FWIW, Spyderco's Volpe was manufactured by Fox and designed by their designers, Gabriele Frati and Gianni Pauletta. I owned one briefly, didn't care for the style, but found it to be very well built and finished. Fox may also be responsible for producing some of the other Spyderco models that are made in Italy.

Cool, thank you. I just took a look at the Volpe: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/detail ... roduct=213" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nice looking well built knife.

Yes the handle and blade shape of the Fox Amico appeals to my style, too.

The Spyderco Volpe and the Fox SpyFox...the SpyFox is a very small knife, think Manbug. Both very nice and interesting knives

Fox Knives USA was located in Puyallup, Washington for a while. I visited the Puyallup outlet a couple of times a few years ago but haven't been there since then. Now, I can't find any info regarding a USA based office. Anybody know what's up with that?

All of the Fox knives that I've looked at were well built but there is always another Spyderco that I would rather have, so the only Fox that I own is the SpyFox.
