Thanx Rick!
I love the DragonFly, Frog * Whatever kind bird that is :D
I really want the new smaller version of the Harsey. I hope they release it in the same special scale patterns, too - they are so cool!
Really? That's pretty cool. And I suppose it never hurts to ask...MacLaren wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 10:23 pmThank you, Julia :)
Ya know, if I were you, I would give Spartan a call and ask for one. I'm sure they could do it for ya.
Sure. They're a small company. I mean, I could be wrong but, I would bet that they would.
I hear you, Rick! My tastes are getting expensive lately, and it is a dangerous trend! But at this point in my hobby, I'm leaning toward quality over quantity. But I've had to make some tough sells to do it. I hope I don't end up regretting them down the road. :confused:TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 10:13 amOh boy, kind of unexpected and not sure if I'm happy I did this (while having beers last night of course)
After grabbing the drop point small Sebenza, I've been looking at other CRK's that I would carry more regularly for actual use at work (I've already decided that Sebenza is too nice looking to get scuffed up. I know, I'm a baby!)
The Insingo design has really drawn me in as a great design for my work duties. I found a large Inkosi Insingo with the black micarta inlays on Ebay, only carried a couple times, no sign of snail trails on the scales or damage on the blade/edge. He was asking $440 to start the bid or best offer. Being a virtually new knife, that costs $550. So for the heck of it I threw him an offer of $420, fully expecting him to reject it (if the knife is as it looked in the photos, I would have haha) But to my surprise he accepted it!
I'm going to have to put off buying other knives for quite a while now, I honestly can't believe I just did that so soon after another big purchase. But after taxes and shipping, saving around $90 off the price of a brand new knife seems like a steel. Granted I had been eyeing the Sebenza Insingo, this appears to be one big and stout model with a comparable blade thickness of the Shaman. See how it goes!
A good choice! I have had the same for over a year and I am still delighted with this knife.TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 10:13 amOh boy, kind of unexpected and not sure if I'm happy I did this (while having beers last night of course)
