My very first Civivi, the Elementum with S35vn and micarta. The hype got to me and I must know what it is all about.
Did you get the new button lock one, or the flipper? I had a flipper and thought it was a great little knife, especially for the price. I'm curious to hear how the button lock one compares.

My new sabenza 31 large was shipped this afternoon so I’ll have a new edc in my lineup very shortly.
Sweet, I've been attracted to the 31 with micarta quite a lot, but I just bought an all metal G Shock square and the Sebenza has to wait a few quarters. Does yours have any inlay?
No, it’s a plain and will be a user. It came in yesterday and it’s still in my hand. It’s a little stiff and needs a little break in.

I got the flipper, if I like it too much I'll end up getting the button too.

I've found that taking them apart and cleaning once or twice really helps. Also - don't tell Mr. Reeve - but I think the action is way better using KPL rather than the flourinated grease.

Im going to try this next time I disassemble and clean. I’ve always wondered if their was something better then the christo grease.

My first Victorinox alox pioneer. Used to love the old Soldier models but lost mine years ago. Finally got around to ordering a replacement.

I've got two more Bradford G3s inbound. Another in M2 and one in AEB-L. I'm hoping one day he'll release a batch in something exotic like Rex45 or K390.

Managed to find a Boker Integral Barlow in stock. I resisted buying the model that uses steel from a Leopard tank barrel, so far at least.

Picture is from the listing.

Nice! What did you go with?

I also just received a newsletter from Bradford that they have Rex45 fillet knives for $119. Seeing Rex45 from them surprised me!

Nice choice! DLT?

The only reason I haven't grabbed a sheepsfoot is because I read that they pretty much copied the design of the CRK Insingo blade design to make their sheepsfoot. Since I have the Inkosi Insingo I figured I probably don't need it....BUT, it is the only blade design I'm missing in the Guardian 3 :thinking

That's cool for you though, because if you like the blade then it may help you spend another $400 on a CRK Insingo someday haha!

Hey that's cool that they copied the insingo. It will actually save me money bc now i don't have to buy an insingo lol. I plan on thinning the edge with my KME if needed. Have you thinned your Bradford?

Yes I have, with both of them. The 3V I took down to 17dps from around 20dps, and the 4V Wharnie I took from 17dps to 15dps. Both were very easy to work with. I stopped both at a 600 grit finish, then a few passes on the brown rods to finish them up. That Sharpmaker base Pat made for me with the 17dps setting is perfect for the finishing strokes or a microbevel.
