I don't want to jinx it, but hopefully a ZT 0640. Had a long internal debate after I was told the K390 P4 wasn't available, and decided to go for it because I've been eyeing the design for a while, and it's not as aggressive as Emerson's other offerings (not unlike the A-100). Figured I'd try another fancy steel !

Aha! So this is why the pakkawood delica had to go! ;) ;) I'm not really an OTF person, but those Microtech models are beyond cool. There's a teal/turquoise one that calls to me every time I see a picture...

Haha, yeaaaaaaaaa...a friend of mine from out of state does some kind of group raffling thing with an authorized dealer. They end up "bidding" around $30-$70 on a knife per bid depending on how many people are in the raffle and you can make multiple bids. It's crazy! You can choose from like 20 knives once you've won. But, the downside is a lot of times you're actually out that money if you don't win the raffle. He's won some $500 knives for like $50! Granted I find most pretty gaudy and not great for edc, more collector pieces.

He sent me some pics of some Microtech's he's won the past few months. Told me there's some coming up in a raffle a couple weeks ago. Sure enough he won and sent me a pic of 8 Microtech Ultratech OTF's to choose from and said I could choose any one of them! :D

I've always wanted to try a Microtech, especially a double edge knife...just for the cool factor!! But would never pay $300+ for one. He paid $100, asked me if I wanted to split the cost of the value of the knife and pay him $150...small profit for him and a major discount for me! That was an EASY YES!

I told him after this not to let me know of anymore of these kinds of opportunities and to just send me pics of what's he's won, for himself haha!

Got another Piranha out in the mail. Great knives also made in Idaho with (my opinion) the best pocket clip in the knife industry.

Nice. I really love mine. Not the fastest system out there, but it's really nice for the harder steels, especially if you add the super coarse stones.

I've already bought a bunch of accessories for it after owning it like 2 days lol. It's pretty fun so far. :)

Yeah, you can definitely go down a rabbit hole of extras! My latest addition is the mini set of jaws for little knives like SAKs. I'm wanting to try out some of the other stones, too. Right now I have the diamond stones and the lapping films, which are great, but I'd like to start learning to use others.

Man, USPS has really slowed down....Priority & First Class that usually took 2 days to get to me, are now taking 5 days.
That really stings after being so used to 2 and 3 day shipping!
